Yes God did ask Abraham to sacrifice his son but you take it out of context. If continue to read you find that God did not require Abraham to actually sacrifice his son and the whole thing turned out to be a prophetic picture of what God and his son Jesus were to do for us in the future, so no, it was not more profane.

 

No, love is not a relative term in the Bible. The Greek terms used therein are very specific and eros the word for romantic love is not used at all.
