I have to admit, I don't know too much about drugs, unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, I guess depending on how you look at it. But one thing I know, if I ever find myself in pain, esp. severe pain, I'm demanding an opioid. Am I just tragically misguided? And what do the rest of you think? I mean, is there a better choice? I know, I have a silent gallstone. I could pass it at any moment, and find myself in excruciating pain. What else could I do?
Get the stone removed.. you don't want to go there, and it won't fix the problem.. Cholecystectomy - the removal of gall stones, is no more than having your molars out these days..
Not to sound like an old lady and/or blend into the sea of voices telling you not to take junk, BUT, it's really not worth the risk. Maybe I'm not too cool and am ignorant of how okay it is to have some cough syrup a few times and score a few percs and it's cool no problem BUT You won't like it. (later, you will like it at first)
I've been prescribed pain pills a few times, never got hooked to them. If you have an acute pain and only get prescribed one round with no refills and take them as directed you dont have much to worry about Its when you have chronic pain and need to take them for an extended period of time that you run into trouble
I put up with the pain when I killed my shoulder just so I could use the oxycontin when I was sober. That shit, plus a couple bong hits were some of the best highs I've had, 8-10hrs of ziiiiiing and pure bliss. Of course, once I was out that was it, I wasn't hooked but honestly I believe it's all akin to your surroundings and thought patterns. Pureness too, I mean there's a reason people come out of the hospital not addicted to drugs and a reason why people not in hospital do become addicted. I think I read it comes down to the pureness of the drug, purity exists in the hospital but over the counter a mass produced.
