If Hip Forums Was Also A Party Line

    If Hip Forums was now also a party line, would you call into it to see if it is any bit cool?

    If so, and it had an automated aspect which lets you enter and switch rooms, which rooms would you most likely be entering into on your first test of the party line? (Lets say the rooms were exact matches in name to what discussion forums are named here on this site.) Like, would it be "Latest News", "Movies", "Conspiracy Theories", "Random Thoughts", or etc?

    As for me, since I've had experience with party lines in my teenage days, and found them all hella exciting, I would give the Hip Forum party line a try. On 1st try I'd switch between rooms I think other people would likely be in. Surely Random Thoughts would be one of them. :)

    Nothing like hearing discussions in real peoples' voices.

    It would be brilliant, in chat we have had many a discussion on people's accents, it would so be good to hear them..

    Some of us remember party lines as a semi-private phone line to a neighborhood. Much less expensive than a private line, so it was common in areas with young families and the elderly,

    Yeah could pick up your phone, and hear the neighbors' conversations. It was often difficult to get certain ones off the line so you could make a call.
    We were pretty happy to get a private number when I was eight, or so.

    Oh man, I wish I had a party line when I was a kid. I am sure I would have listened to people's conversations allllll day long.

    i haven't done any party lines since college. sometimes i miss it, but my nose thanks me.
