I can see where you're coming from. I can't say someone is a horrible person if they're following the Bible. Because the Bible does cover pretty much all the bases of "sin" and "wrong-doing" so yes, if one follows the Bible, believing it to be true, they will probably be considered a pretty good person. I see it as, some people follow the fake rule book(Bible) enjoy the feelings they get, when they feel as if they have done something right, in the person that created them's eyes. Especially like myself... back when it was all I knew. Yes... I HAVE felt the love of Jesus Christ. I loved him very much... and it felt really good to express my love my doing right. But eventually, too many questions stacked up, and if the Bible was so perfect and complete and unblemished as it CLAIMS to be... then I doubt there would be so many questions CONSTANTLY arising in my mind, as well as so many other people's mind. And when I would ask the only people that would know... I would get the same fucking answers since the THIRD grade... which are as follows: "It is beyond our comprehension" "Satan is tempting us" "GOD is testing us" and plenty more default answers... and I started to becomne extrmely pissed off at such horrible answers to base my entire eternity on. I also, completely understand your thoughts, Smokindude. I remember, no longer than a month ago... I would hate it when people come here and bash Christians. I try and respect them. And I am definitely glad I havebeen, and AM being raised in a christian home, that way I can easily understand their point of veiws, as well as being very familiar with the Bible, and a stockload of my own findings in it, that I find completely outrageous. Mr. Green, Thank you for that... I'm honored Especially since it came from such a "high-status" member
smokindude to me there were 2 layers to the love of jesus feeling (when i was xtain). the first was simple conditioning, associating my religion with feeling 'good'. like we are taught that getting high grades is good, or that doing well in sports in. I'm not interested in this arificial good feeling that has been used differently than its genetic purpose. the second part is what i feel like all the time now since my conversion (away from televangelism). i was born just fine the first time.
Smokindude Yano why nobody will be "lol'ing" at Christianity? Because it changes lives. Whether you believe whats in the bible or not, the many who do believe the messages have no doubt Jesus is Gods son, because they feel the love of Christ through various ways. Once you feel that love in your heart, nothing can make you not believe what Jesus has to say. The ones that dont believe in Jesus will sadly find him eventually, if death has to be the case. Just my personal opinion. I agree with you but I wouldn't assume that Christianity and the teachings of Jesus are saying the same thing or that its the only way to experience the same thing.
