If America Attacks Iran - Will You Take to the Streets?

it's too bad the rumors that iran wants to destroy israel originated on fox news. they have a habit of making shit up.

 

i think a lot of checkpoint killings aren't being done by iraqis. these "insurgents" know when exactly our troops are going into them and where these checkpoints are. that would take some inside info to know that shit. i think some of these extra slayings could be some of our allies. israel or saudi arabia perhaps? or possibly blackwater. but i don't think near as much carnage is happening because of insurgents as they say it is. besides, america shouldn't always have to rush out and fight everyone's battles or constantly give out foreign aid. we have enough of our own problems here at home in the states.

 

they most certainly would and have. ever seen those videos on the news of alleged snipers in the mideast? they have cameras mounted on their guns. that's a well known charateristic of israeli weaponry. blackwater was down in new orleans messing around too when katrina happened. how do you know they aren't acting on behalf of the saudi government? besides, israel attacked the uss liberty and prettyy much got away with it. what makes you think they'd never attack americans again? mossad has been known to hijack planes themselves and the IDF loves snuffing out inocent arab kids. these people are every bit as heartless as anyone else over there.

 

This is ridiculous in the extreme. You think it takes Israeli super commandos to lay an ambush and wait for someone to drive by?

And only Israelis have cameras on their guns? Seriously, what kind of lunatic conspiracy websites to you get this stuff from.

 

the locationjs of military checkpoints aren't exactly disclosed to everyone and anyone. i happen to know people who have been in iraq recently and are over there now. there's way more to this than you'll ever hear about on the news. some people just can't bear to ponder the thought that some of our most trusted allies might just be our enemies as well. because it's way more comforting to believe whatever fox news, cnn, abc, nbc or the white house tells them.

I haven't followed this thread, nor have I posted much lately, but yesterday certified why I don't watch news programs. I normally listen to commercial-free satellite radio but I accidently broke my antenna. So I listened to C-Span radio all day. There were senior military leaders in front of a senate intelligence oversight committee who actually advocate a preemptive strike on Iran.

Insanity.

I said 5 years ago when we started this mess in retaliation for 9-11 that we were going to have to fight every Muslim nation once we got started. I didn't think we'd pick the big ones first, or at least the least aggressive. Iran has NEVER started a war but they sure as hell have finished a few.

Do yourself a favor, get as far away from the cities as you can.

 

it's all a ploy. even the experts in the field of things pertaining to nukes and nuclear power have said it would take iran atleast ten years to develop an arsenal of nukes. if anything, the usa and israel and their supporters are the aggresors here. their plan is to stir up as much trouble with as many muslim lands as they can. why should they care though? it won't be their children fighting these battles. it will be the children of the working class getting drafted. i guarantee you they'll bring back the draft.

UN, sanctions, threatening military force, etc... Scare tactics. All part of the game. The illusion that the US is ready and willing to stage an aerial assault in exactly what the US is trying to project. At this point.

 

War is archaic and obsolete. That fact doesn't defeat the fact that they are still fought.

Iraq already has chemical weapons. They saw how successful Saddam was at quashing the Kurdish uprising and they got their own.

I think the point here (and I know you're playing along) is that Iran has no interest in starting a war. They never have, but they've finished several. They were glad that we deposed Saddam because that freed their Shia brothers. Now that Bush is openly fucking with them, they've made it clear that we're poking a hornets nest with a bare finger. Not a good idea. Hostilities against Iran will open the door for Syria, Yemen, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Qatar, Turkey, Kuwait (etc etc etc ad nauseum) to jump on the "kill an American on general religious principle" bandwagon.

WMDs aside, they'd wipe us out like the Turks did the Armenians. And please, tell me, after the last 6 years who would honestly stand with the US against Muhammed's millions? Britain? Certainly not France or Germany. So China wants our real estate and Islam wants our lives. So would end 387 years of oppressive caucasian rule.

Saddam had millions too, no wmd's needed.took almost 3 weeks.
Iraqs military was once ranked #4 on the planet.

wmd's aside, that and air and sea superiority, they have no more of a chance than iraq had.

I really don't think we have to worry about a land invasion. That's unlikely. Chemical and nerve agents or a dirty bomb is more likely. Increased terrorist attacks, definitely.

As to Iran's antiquated Soviet firepower, you forget that they legally bought several squadrons of F-15s in the 70s and illegally bought several F-16s and Blackhawks in the 90s. And if I remember correctly, MiG 25s and Su27/29s aren't that antiquated. If we can win a war on airpower alone, they can certainly fight one. They just won't launch it from home.

 

Nope, those were f-14s.

No F16's, No Blackhawks, Israel knows Iranian airforce better than anyone.

They are when they are up against F22s and JSF "F35"

Iran lost over 400 aircraft to Saddam, they wouldnt even launch a plane if they knew the USA was close enough for A/A combat, period.
