There's an old saying that goes like this: If one person calls you a horse's ass, don't worry about it. If two people call you a horse's ass, you might want to think about it. If three people call you a horse's ass, you should go buy a saddle.
i have a "Bush/cheney 2004, because dictatorship is better sticker on my car".... i gave away two other similiar ones. and i just got a new sticker that i put on my car, saying "bush terrifies me"
I come from private school with a whole LOT of rich kids who support Bush for no apparent reason. That's not to say all of them do, but I haven't met a single person with an intelligent pro-Bush argument around. That being said, every time I see someone with a Bush/Cheney bumpersticker, it seems like their IQ slips down a few notches, sort of like meurcury in a thermometer. Has anyone seen any good anti-Bush stickers? My favorites are "Bush/Cheney for prison" "Like a rock (only dumber)" and "EVILDOER"
Supporting Bush has nothing to do with being an asshole or such, that is one of the most ignorant statements I've ever heard. People may support Bush for many reasons... Better money for the capitalists, protection of Israel for the Jewish people, religious upright for the Christians, War on terror for the pro-war people. If I were any of those, I would support Bush. I do LOVE Bush's policy in Israel. I do not hate him, I think that he's much more capable than Kerry on external affairs (yes, even Iraq), yet I despise Bush's internal policies.
the entire world hates george bush, therefore, if you are an american and you support bush you are one or all of the following 1. A moron 2. A religious zealot 3. A millionaire 4. Very Confused 5. Stuck on the abortion issue
seriously though Rubin, if you were in America right now, i have a feeling you would e noticing the same things....the place is extremely divided at the moment.
I often travel to the US, and am exposed to alot of politicly active American people (From both sides) everyday. Ofcourse the place is divided, the elections are almost here... this is the moment of most tension. Idealogicly, I would want Kerry to win... but materialisticly, Bush has better policies for the most important thing to me... my family, which lives in Israel. I will also be a student in the US next year, and Kerry is better for us immigrants... so I am rather divided on the issue... on one side there are my ideological and personal concerns, but on the other... there is what eventually benefits my family and my country.
the US will continue to support Isreal, I wouldn't worry about that...I would expect no radical departures if Kerry wins as far as this policy goes.
Support, yes, the two nations are interdependent anyhjow, the US cannot just back out. yet, Bush has been the most supportive president for Israel...ever. Israel is finally flipping off the UN, and are actually removing the terrorist threat. With Kerry, we'll be back to the Clinton day pointless Camp David talks.
Kerry has been pro-Israel throughout his political career. Not much will change there. His administration just might have a little more brains and diplomatic expertise than Bush. (assuming Kerry is elected)
don't let bumper stickers, or retarded blind people get ya down. There is no way Bush will legitimately get into office. There is way too much opposition to him. Think Fahrenheit 9-11 (which by the way, is coming out on DVD tomorrow--Oct. 5th), and also there were close to a million people protesting in the streets of NYC during the republiKKKan convention, which broke all records for a political convention. There hasn't been this much public opposition to an American regime since the Vietnam days. That's a historical fact. You just have to know where to look. www.indymedia.org
