this guy i'm dating lives about 20-30 min away (depending on traffic) so basically this guy was gonna come see me in the middle of the night. i text him at 12:56am: "hey if you're coming past 1:30 just dont come at all" i was just saying this because i was beginning to get tired and didnt want to keep waiting. SOOOOO at 3:53AM, i wake up. LOL :alien: i look at my phone and i have about 10 text messages from him. from 1AM to 1:38AM he was texting me "on my way" "im here" "hope you didnt fall asleep" and at 210AM his last text was "i'm tired im gonna head back home now have a goodnight" so yeah i basically fell asleep right after the last text i sent him and he drove all the way to my place and still waited half an hour before going home. NOW i'm just wondering, i want to make it up to him. i just dont know how. i'm open to any ideas. something different than "dinner and movies" type of thing. thanks for your help and good day to you! eace:
Why don't you invite him over for dinner one night, and cook him nice home-cooked meal? Candle-lit dinner with some red wine is always nice, I think. After that, you could also have some other drinks to chill with as well if you wish. If you have access to a patio or a balcony, or maybe even a backyard, you can turn it into a bit of an outdoor event as long as the weather is nice. In which case, however, you might also want to invest in some Citronella candles as well, for bug repellent purposes. Good day to you, too.
I usually cook a home cooked meal for my boyfriend when I want to make up for something. Actually, that is what I used to do. Now that we have been together a long time and live together, I usually send him off for a night out to hang out and get drunk with his friends lol.
A sincere apology should really be enough. You tried to contact him to let him know not to come over because you were tired. It happens. Its not like you had plans, and just blew him off. You didn't do anything 'wrong'... it was late, you were tired and fell asleep. If he is upset, you could offer to pay for gas and make him dinner...and then think about how petty it would be for him to be upset. Just my opinion...
