lol. Yea, that's the usual. You think they sounded odd, if you're ever here again head to the Ottawa valley. You'll think you're on the set of 'Deliverance', only a little watered down. Yea, Quebec french is strange. I understand some of it but it can be very hard to speak and pick up on in a conversation. It's quick and dirty sounding compared to France french which is very smooth and pretty and easy to understand.
well us Brits love a tryer (cf. Eddie "The Eagle" Edwards, Clive Sinclair, Del Boy etc), so I think Sam has shown here sufficient grit and courage to be conferred with the title of Honorary Brit. Dieu et mon droit
So shed light on a theory I have. American accents must sound super masculine and gruff to your girls, right? Considering what they've got to live with...
^^^ :bobby: "'ello, 'ello, 'ello... wass goin' on 'ere then?".... one kitten too many methinks!!! we like our manly english accents thank you very much Sam! you can keep yer Harley! Triumphs rule OK!!!
I find the wallons easier to understand than the parisiens. The typique parisien never opens the mouth. I think for an anglophone the accent parisien is easier to comprhend than my accent. The "french" vowels are very "anglophone" in sounde. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0tioVsfn3w"]YouTube - bob gratton
Someones jealous! Don't worry about your women loving our silky smooth accents mate, it's only natural that they find you repulsive and arrogant...just like ours do.
Ha! Someone's confused. Some North American women like French accents. A few might like some British accents, however they all like good teeth
Looks like someone else has taken the bait..I was troll fishing! Never mind, you'll do! I do a great French accent. It's only British kids who have bad teeth, most adults have absolutely perfect dentures!
Oh I'm Irish enough. haha. Well, half irish by blood and I love whiskey. But that's why I'm trying to get the brits to trust me. Can't go breaking my IRA cover :smoking:
