Yea, Quebec french is strange. I understand some of it but it can be very hard to speak and pick up on in a conversation. It's quick and dirty sounding compared to France french which is very smooth and pretty and easy to understand.

 

well us Brits love a tryer (cf. Eddie "The Eagle" Edwards, Clive Sinclair, Del Boy etc),
so I think Sam has shown here sufficient grit and courage to be conferred with

I find the wallons easier to understand than the parisiens. The typique parisien never opens the mouth. I think for an anglophone the accent parisien is easier to comprhend than my accent. The "french" vowels are very "anglophone" in sounde.
