I Wish.....

I wish for free time, perfect waves on empty beaches, and a 2018 NBA Championship for the Boston Celtics.

No! Have received a lot of unwanted attention over the years. He's skinnier now so it's not quite as obvious.

I wish our cat would go on a diet and save me having to have spent most of today installing a larger cat flap after he got stuck in the old one last week.

Ahh I ended up reconnecting with an old girlfriend of mine... she moved in, got a baby on the way so life’s been all hectic lol... I didn’t realize how long it had been until I posted today

Their are too many "one post wonders" in this site lately. Hope everything goes well with the baby, ours are in their 30s now.

 

Since his father died, he seems to do nothing except eat and sleep. We are thinking of adopting a kitten to keep him on his toes.
I missed all the fun when Jane was trying to get him free when he got stuck in the cat flap. LOL. She was thinking of calling the fire department.

 

I remember she was coming to see you. Sounds like things are working out.

And yeah things moved pretty fast haha, but we’re happy and I’m not getting any younger... all’s been good, a little crazy but good lol

 

I can never understand why some people close their accounts when life moves on. A site like this is always good to come back to and do some catching up.

Our son is 39, not too fond of work and only does enough to live while he enjoys his time drumming in a heavy metal band. Needless to say, I have to look after and build the bands sound equipment.
The middle daughter trained as a vet, but ended up as a London police officer. She got married last year, She is 33
Our youngest daughter works in admin when she is not travelling. She has just returned from India and spent 3 months last year in Thailand.

You have it all coming to you. They can be a real pain in their teens, but ours were never a problem in their younger years.
One word of advice.
Children don't have an inbuilt clock, so just save your time fighting to get them to sleep at 7pm and then wondering why they wake up at 3am every morning and want to play while you are trying to sleep.
We just worked our timing backwards, so that they woke up at the same time as us. Really simple, but very few people seem to see it that way.
Needless to say, the first few months will involve a few sleepless nights, but do not get stressed, or it will just make things worse.
Hopefully your partner will be feeding your baby. It is so much better all round and helps the baby fall back to sleep during his or her night feeds during those first few months.
