Well. That is if there are any olympics. Having worked in the construction industry in London, I can honestly say that the chances of everything being ready on time are very slim. Just look at their recent record in major projects. Wembley Stadium - 1 year late Millenium Dome - 6 months late Millenium Bridge - a couple of years late(I think) and then had to be closed down for another 6 months cos it wobbled so much when people walked on it. This time they are trying to build a whole mini-city of stadia, extend the underground, the olympic village.
estimated cost of u.k. spending on the olympics, £9.35bn (1 British pound = 1.9871 U.S. dollars) approx 18.58 billion dollars
But building stadia for the world's elite athletes that will lie abandoned afterwards is a much more shrewd investment than say.. investing in education or a failing healthcare system.
it'll be a great time. dave knows where there's nothing but moose to watch. but they're nasty, mean animals. cool from a distance though, if you don't mind the bears.
I've never seen neither elk nor moose. That'd be cool. I'd really like to see some bears though. The only ones I've seen in the wild are Asiatic black bears and they are relatively small. Wildlife, wine, sunset and you. I think that's enough fuel for me to have some great dreams tonight.
