well, when you subconciously see all he things that you don't know bug you about yourself, or those things you subconsciously struggle with within yourself in another person, you attack that person continuously as a way of seperating them from yourself.

i just don't get being so continuously shitty about everything. it's gotten old. if you're that miserable, do something about it.

Sorry to disappoint. But I'm incredibly provincial in my knowledge of Latin America.

I haven't been to any Latin American country outside Brazil.

In Brazil, I could refer to a couple of things. But I'd like to know first what bird is looking for. The more nature-related his interests, the less I'll know. City boy.

As for Pavel, I suggest giving him time. I used to be a know-it-all at his age.

Bird, I am curious, do have all your shots? Like for hepatitis and such? And what do you do if you get sick while you are traveling and need a hospital? Do you get insurance for that?

    When are you going?

In mid April I will be in my place in Central America.

Both Central and South America offer some of the most breathtaking beauty imaginable.

What countries are you wanting to visit?

Nope, I live my life dangerously.
If I need a hospital I just hope there will be one nearby.
If I get sick, I get sick. If it is my time to die, I'll die.

Life is so refreshingly simple sometimes. :)

I am looking for more detailed information than just the name of a city.
Although cool cities that I have to pay a visit are worth mentioning as well.

I will be going in May. No further plans, no destinations, no routes, no nothing.
Just me and my backpack and plenty of time and sufficient money.

That's the way life should be. And if life can not be that, at least travelling should.

You're not making my job easy. What I like the most in Brazil is the Northeast, especially Bahia.

There you'll get things like little colonial towns (e.g., near Cachoeira) with a huge crater nearby that were abandoned once diamond mining in the area ran out.

You'll also get some natural beauty. Near Cachoeira, there is a lone mountain where two tectonic plates merged.

There are also near-by maroons been there since the African slave trade was at it's peak, and the women are friendly.

Rio is only attractive to city boys like me, and sleaze-balls like me. You'll also get mugged.

Yeah, I will probably visit Rio when and if I am in Brazil, but I probably only stay there a couple of days. You can't visit Brazil without visiting Rio I suppose.
Although the things near Cachoeira sound cool. I never heard of that place actually.
