Is hope for real? I mean if you have lost all hope is it possible to
get it back? Can anybody really be doomed?

So I have this job (just a waitressing job in Manhattan) where the money is pretty good but they are super strict on rules.. not to mention the owner is sort of a Dbag. Only thing is, the job does (for now) provide me with a good amount of financial security..

Do I look for something else (considering there are millions of waitressing jobs) or stay at my current job? I don't really feel like starting somewhere else as the new guy, and pretty much going a week or so hardly making any money (due to training or whatever).. and then maybe even dealing with the fact that any new job, I might hate more than the one that I already have!

The grass isn't always greener on the other side and damn, I wish I had a degree or a skill of some sort.

I'm enacting some thread necromancy and bringing this back. Whoopee.

    A 2.

    An odd.

    Yes, yes, and no.

Waitressing is generally one of the best jobs when it comes to being able to maneuver your hours around also going to school. Stick with where you are and put together an ideal schedule you'd want to take with school - including some online classes if possible. When the semester is a couple months away, vigorously apply at other restaurants with this new schedule in mind. You'll have to bust your butt for a while, but it'll pay off.

Why is it considered some sort of major trauma if the person sitting next to you on an airplane talks to you?

it's only a major trauma for some people

    1. they're not friendly

    2. they're really busy

    3. in some places, (e.g., urban east coast) talking to someone that you don't know is typically taken as a sign that

    a. you want to fuck them

    b. you're going to ask them for money

    c. you are crazy

    4. they have social anxiety

    5. because they feel trapped in that situation

    6. they think you're attractive, and it makes them nervous
