    Hi LoDog,
    That's nice you want to get a memorial tattoo for your wife.
    I personally have 4 tattoos, and they all have deep meaning.
    But, honestly, I think you should go with your heart on this one, if you liked the tear drop on the face idea, but dont like the meaning behind it, then, maybe encorporate the tear drop into a different tattoo idea.
