I was thinking about different types of intelligence...

I was thinking about my Politics class (whom I seem to spend an awful lot of time thinking about) and it occured to me that while some of them appear to be good at Politics based on their ability to retain facts and figures and regurgitate them, they're absolutely terrible at political analysis and independent thought...


In which respect, if I may toot my own bugle, I am light years ahead of them...


On another note does anybody else ever sit in class and think about how much better you are then everybody else?

Yes you did and no you didn't. You should have used ahead instead of better, and that would be perceived better.

I don't think I'm better than people, but I think I know alot more than many of them do.

(i actually cant with ewan in my class, he seems to know everything)

 

only in some of my classes. like in language classes (french or spanish, whatever i'm in love with at the time), i am often amazed at the concepts of language people dont get.

but then you put me in a geology class and i'm like "uhh... thats a big word" (geology is easy, i just can't memorize the terms for some reason, so i suck at it)

I don't think I'm really all that smart though, it's just that everyone else is stupid.

we'd sit there for fucking litterally 4 or 5 minutes for someone to say a sentance to two..
and the whole time i'm like OH MY FUCKIN GOD. cos it would be the easiest thing in the world to saybut some dumbass choses not to pay attention or whatever

i think they should have honors language classes too..

I was appalling at language at school, but thats because a) The teacher was a joke b) the class was a joke c) I put ZERO effort into it



But i'm actually quite good at langauge....and i'm obsessed with it...

that's common discussion in my psych class..about how we can't really measure intelligence because everyone's intelligent in their own manner...so IQ tests kinda blow.

Actually, I know tons of people who aren't smart in any way.
