Do people still do that? I wrote my tag for the last time a few years ago. I might go on the prowl this summer ...
Wouldn't "I wasn't here" be more thought provoking? People would be like... Wait! How the hell did they write that?
I used to write dumb shit on tables at school like Hey hey! A poof sat next to me! And then you'd just read all the replies during the week until that table was finally asked to leave by the teachers. I don't think I've ever tagged "I was here" though. Much more inclined to draw a big ugly swastika or something just to piss the next **** off that looks at it. And I never tagged "I <3 so and so" that wasn't my style, I didn't love anybody
i was stuck at a train crossing today and was amazed at the stupid "tagging" all over the cars...what a stupid way to spend energy
This isn't really tagging something but today at work I came across an old train bridge that has been spray painted for years. I had a can of spray paint on the truck and nobody was around so I did this and sent a pic to my wife to make her smile. :afro: Edit to say....vandalizing bridges at 39 years old......
a romantic gesture! little things like this keep the fire of love burning. may you do the same when you are 80 :2thumbsup: :sunny:
I always wonder where they find the time and opportunity to do that. A friend recently told me something about that. Her dad worked for the railroad for years. She said they usually don't paint over the ID numbers on the cars. They paint around them because they know if they paint over them then the car will need to be repainted.....covering their work. I don't know how true that is but I've tried to pay attention and it does look like most cars do not have those numbers painted over.
that is true, but i am adding that it is not JUST so the work doesn't get painted over... it is also because they don't want to piss off the railroad workers and the railroad company so that they don't bring any more heat into the area.
It makes sense. I live in a smaller town with the UP line running through it and I often find myself spending time looking at passing train cars.....lots of them....dammit!
most of the cars i saw were hauling brand new vehicles same style like in this pic screens were painted...there has to be overspray getting in there http://bloximages.newyork1.vip.town...1e3-bdf2-001a4bcf6878/52ab4ed6da067.image.jpg
I just had a conversation about that with a friend maybe two or three days ago. What happens if the paint goes through the little holes and hits the cars? It's had to have happened. And....how do they load and unload those cars in an efficient manner?

Graff is the only thing that makes being stuck at a train-crossing bearable. Tagging is way more fun than pissing on trees but yes, they are conceptually the same thing. I don't do trains 'cause that shit is dangerous and I have no crew but it would be a rush to be at a train stop and see one of my guinea pigs rolls by.
It isn't mine but I picked that picture because it reminded me of typical writing style of the 80's. I will say that throughout my life, many people have remarked about my penmanship but I've actually lost the skill. It's amazing what people might take for granted in this life. Something like nice handwriting might seem insignificant until you lose it.
