no it's not too much to ask. yes there is much more to lsd than visuals but if visuals are all you're after then so be it. the difference is there are more variables with that attitude; you might get exactly what you want and be mesmerized by visuals or things could go sour on you. since there is more to lsd than visuals, you might be caught off gaurd by what lies beyond. I refer to ego death or dissolution which is the loss of sense of self, identity, culture, your very existence. This can be highly blissful and therapeutic to those in the right mindset or it can be traumatizing to the unprepared. You will likely be surprised at some point and your expectations will be undercut, which happens to even very seasoned trippers:cheers2:.
Take a hike No seriously take a hike somewhere away from civilization Walk around, maybe even jog or climb and when your mind relaxes and you are just observing the nature around you, not judging or thinking outside the present moment... Take it.
better to bring it out then live the rest of your life with it buried in the unconscious these dark things exist through you. If you can learn to deal with that energy, that makes it easier for the person who comes after you to also do the same.
well my first trip.. i saw lots of things.. but i can say for sure that I could not pay attention to them.. there was too much else going on. Only once I had come to grips with the mind aspect of the trip was I able to sit back and look at the crazy shit. If you just awnna see stuff, get some DMT
not everyone can deal with it...i'm so sick of people not paying attention to what i say i'm just gonna stop posting...i already said that not everyone can deal with it. that's the point. and that's not a well thought out statement. you don't know what exactly people could be releasing from their unconscious. some things are better left undisturbed. you don't have to right to say whats good to bring out and whats not
exactly! if the kindergarten of bad trips is where you die, then i'm dying to find out what the high school of bad trips is...i mean, that's like 2 schools away!
After reading this thread one thing needs to be realized. None of you actually no how much LSD you are actually taking at any given time. One person may take blotter that is 200mics a dose and another takes some that is only 20mics a dose. If they each gobbled 10 hits they would have VERY different experiences. The first time I took acid I split a hit with someone and didn't even notice the effects until after I had taken it a few more times and in retrospect realized the effects of the first time. The second time I took acid I was lucky enough to know the strength, 200mics a hit, I gobbled down three for a total of 600mics. That was an awesome and life changing event from which there was no turning back. Ever since then I would always take a half hit first if it was an unkown source/strength. After an hour or so I had a pretty good idea of the strenght via comparison to prior known dosages, and take however much more was needed to achieve the desired results. Not exact, but it works. As far as taking a high dose first time out, if the person is well educated on the effects and how they manifest psychologaly, then a 200-400mic dose can be great. That is how some of the most effective LSD therapy for alcoholism was done in the '50's and '60's. It has been my experience personaly and with friends that the more rigid and controlling or set in thier ways a person is they are more likely to have bad experiences with LSD. The less rigid and more open to other ideas and possibilities a person is the better they can handle the experience. A high dose, 250mics or more, will take your beliefs about the reality works and shake the shit out of them. I always enjoyed the third person perspective LSD gives me when reviewing my life situation. The main question is how brutally honest can you be with yourself? Cause like it or not, acid does tend to force that honest look into the mirror, if it don't then you didn't take enough.
