Ive only ever seen the first half of the very first Harry Potter movie. I havent seen the other hundred other movies or how ever many there were. We walked out of the cinema half way through, I couldnt handle it, it was way too kidsy and stupid, I couldnt handle it I pretended I knew what people were talking about when they were talking about Harry Potter and the Cystic Acne Scar ( thats a name of one of the movies, look it up) for a good decade or so whilst it was a thing And this is from a guy who has watched Return of the Jedi a hundred times and thought sentient teddy bears was genius. And watched all 5 Twilight movies at least 4 times
But. Have. You. Read. The. Books Dude read them to your nephew, it will change both of your lives, or maybe not but at the very least he'll be supercute for the next few years waiting on his Hogwarts letter
well that's a relief, the title made me think you were trying to give out some STDs. i've seen one harry potter movie. i don't remember which one, maybe the third? i liked it, but not enough to go out of my way to see the others, or read the books.
It was a sarcastic thread title, as this is about as deep and reflectfull as I get. Nah, nephew is a bloke, very obvious already. Anything to do with Trains or smashing things into other things, hes all over it. Stupid Wizards and Snake looking guys with no nose, I dont see it happening
this is how I felt about the BB8 droid in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but it grew on me. Harry Potter is a little bit that way, but I guess I can get into it. I was in my twenties when it was released. I have a place in my heart for the sort of Disney-esque way of things I guess.
I like Harry Potter! I saw all the movies multiple times! My favorite one is probably Goblet of Fire. The wand battle at the end is epic. Why did you watch all of the Twilight movies 5 times?
Well duh, the first movies are mostly for kids. It gets much more interesting/complex as you progress through his maturity with each consecutive film. I'm a big Harry Potter fan and I can barely stand the first one. The last two tho, juicy af. Don't bother watching the last two without seeing the first ones tho. It's like watching the last StarWars film and wondering what's great about the franchise. Lots of Twilight is cringey girlporn - but still watchable. p.s. i was practicing the theme song before i logged in
I love the books...like...on a deep level, deeper than I should be willing to admit I didnt really like the movies. Except the first one because it followed the book pretty well. And by the 5th movie it was just pissing me off and I didnt bother with the rest
With his song? I just couldnt bring myself to watch them. I always struggle with movies made from books, I create this richly detailed world inside my head when reading a book and it really, really bothers me when someone else's vision is different from (inferior to) my own
Saw the first HP movie. The kid who starred as Harry was a terrible actor in that movie. He performed like a lost and confused kid in a room full of green screens with grown-ups telling him what to do. I'm sure he got some good schooling in acting and performed better in all the rest of the sequels. But I never bothered.
Take a look at this video from 4:20. Bob Hoskins claimed that working 'green screen' in an empty studio while preempting the animation was one of the most challenging roles in his entire acting career. The result was pure genius.
