Jim was a very enlightened man. If you read his poetry, his quotes, or listen to any of his views upon life- they make a lot of sense. He, at least was on a better track of living and understanding than most of us. Maybe try reading some? http://www.goodreads.com/author/quotes/7855.Jim_Morrison But anyway, like I said before- at least have a god damn reason why you shit on Jim.
My nephew was Jim Henson's personal assistant for a while, until Henson passed away suddenly from a "chest cold" turned into pneumonia. Whenever Henson went away on business, he got to drive his car, take his calls, etc. He told me that whenever he got a call from Henson, it sounded just like Kermit the Frog. Telepath? Isn't that the area between the couch and the wall phone? Jim Morrison may have been a tad weird, but was certainly no retard. People are strange.
It's scary! It would really suck if I tried and I told everyone I was leaving society and they all disapprove and think I'll fail...and if I do I'll just look like a jackass as I surf craigslist for a desk job I'm going to suffer at in order to pay for the studio apartment I hate.
Yeah, I know exactly how you feel. In society's game, you will be looked down upon because so many people don't appreciate living simply, they only judge other people upon their materialistic goods and therefore, social status. It just sounds like a dull, boring life out there- unless of course you go to some fancy college, get some high-paying job, and conform to all the rules of society.
You'll be incredibly lucky and wise if you live through your first attempt at enlightenment of any kind with your pride intact. The trick is to keep on trying, damn the consequences.
Necropost, much? No idea who the OP is, but she's cute (assuming she's the girl in the sig). I approve.
Hey there...it is doable...it's hard work, but it's doable. Sometimes it's meant to last just a little while, sometimes it leads you to something better. I ran away for about 6 months. At times I was able to live in the wilderness and be completely natural. It was great...then it got rainy. I did it in Florida, then in NC...in Florida it got too hot(living in a tent)...I'm sure I could've made it work and there were multiple opportunites to expand on that idea in different ways but I was also in a relationship and we had to make decisions together. There are others out there doing this and similar ideas. Do your research, make real plans, be flexible and learn as much as you can...I think you'll find growing pot and buying land to be very difficult ideas and you might be able to compromise on some things, but if you really want it the way you want it, you may have a hard time putting it all together, but it is worth it to at least try, start somewhere and see where it takes you...
