This reminds me of a joke I heard on Archie Bunker as a kid. I thought about it a bunch of times over the years. It's amazing how many people couldn't figure out the answer back then:

Don't do it, man. The heartache and collateral damage from such an ill-advised affair would be incalculable. Think about how both your own family, and your wife's family, would be ripped apart by such a scandal. Could your marriage, and your wife's relationship with her sister, ever survive such a gross betrayal? Probably not. And what about if you or your SIL have kids? Something like this would completely blow their world apart, and they might not ever forgive you.

It's not worth it.
