I don't remember that movie much, i guess I repressed the bad memories you know what's crazy? It got a sequel coming out
Good list! Yeah, I was thinking of Dawn of the Dead. Hadn't thought of Swordfish (which had some seriously disturbing shit in it) or NBK. How about Phantasm. (or the sequels) Ghost Ship is another. The first Jeepers Creepers. The Day After. The remake of The Blob. The Lawnmower Man. -Jeffrey
Yeah, House of 1000 Corpses WAS about the shittiest, lamest, unscariest horror film I ever did see. But didn't the bad guys win in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre? I can't remember, now. -Jeffrey
I think the Texas Chainsaw Massacre was a draw, because the girl escaped. As for Power 13's comment: Code: Titanic. The "good guys who lose" being the people who paid to see that movie. That's about the funniest thing I've read in a while. Definately deserves a vote of approval.
What I was getting to are movies like Omen and the up coming Constantine, where evil wins out and good is done in. or in the first Star Wars movie .. Luke misses and the death star blows the shit out of Yavin (rebel base planet) and the Empire takes total control of the universe. or even Indiana Jones doesn't get the arc and the Germans get ahold of it and Germany rules the world yanno, something along those lines.
i LOVE unhappy endings! i hate when the good always win, the lovers get eachother and all is sunshine and sparkling fireworks.
fight club is kinda like that.....edward norton escapes brad pitt but he doesnt stop the credit card companies form blowing up
Wow I'm amazed noone thought of this. I love this movie and noone thought of it, including me. One of the best movies ever..... American History X
good call Duck. I was gonna look through my movie collection but said "screw it, to lazy". If I had I woulda seen AHX and included it with the other two. Oh well, good call man!
I am constantly annoyed when awesome antagonists do not prevail in the end of a movie. Also, I would simply like a character to express their dark side rather than remaining one-demensional. For example, I was watching the sequel to Spiderman, (I am not a fan of either movie), and when the main character discovers he just killed his best friend's dad, I had this small hope that maybe that he would suddenly turn evil. In both movies all this dramatic stuff/death occurs, and he continues to be this "noble guy" who wants to help people, blah blah blah... He remains as a 1-D character who lives in a universe with strict of morals and values and relies heavily on duality. Anyway, I went on a rant about that... Another movie that comes to mind is ConAir. It is a ridiculous movie, but I would have much rather seen Nicholas Cage get killed off than John Malcovich, who I thought was the most lively character in the movie. In love, Diana
