i wanna be irish

Maybe, but I wasn't brought up in Canada, and I still detect no accent... By the way, the Australian accent is tops too, I especially like the way they say huge, makes it really sound big

 

canadians in general dont have an accent... the only reason i would have one is because of my parents

it certainly sounds like an accent to my kiwi ears. My lecturer is canadian, and you really can tell. It's quite a nice one though, very easy to listen to.

 

Irish people are quite fun my hubby's family is all Irish... married into a good clan, I'll tell ya...

I'm Irish. and the only accent I talk with is western PA accent....my wife used to talk with a very heavy southern accent, but since shes been here this long, she really doesn't anymore.

 

Im an Irish descendant. Its something I'm very proud of. Don't have the accent though after my family living here in New Zealand for over 150 years.
