you know..whatever happens, this country is still going to be bitterly divided. Thats the real shame about the iraq war. This country has been bitterly divided for a long time(probably 84 when reagan virtually swept the country). It gets old quickly. 9/11 gave this country a chance to stop tearing each other apart..thats bush's real crime. I support some things bush has done(kyoto, icc etc)..oppose many things(gay marriage amendment, stem cell, etc etc)..but christ, he had a golden oppurtunity to keep this country united for more than a year and he blew it. I dont buy into the BS that this country hasnt ever been more divided..i think we can remember 2000..or the monica years..this country was bitterly divided then...

Monica tore the country apart over a blowjob. I think this is a little more serious.

Since I'm Canadian, obviously I don't get to vote (lol that'd be sweeeet) but in my heart I'm voting for Kerry... in my world, I get to vote in any old election lol I guess we'll know soon enough. Get Bush OUT!

Yes, predominantly liberal, but still free speech none the less. ;)

Also, I voted for Bush, along with my mom, dad, stepdad and stepmom. And not to mention all 4 of my room mates... hope there are lots more of us. :)

Sorry, I just can't be friendly with people who ride bulls, watch cars drive in circles for hours, and listen to country (or should I say "rural pop"). No thanks, I have enough friends.:)

Well, Bush won, just gotta wait for all the litigation in Kerrys' camp to be over with.

Oh yeah, we also gotta wait for Moores Documentary describing how Bush had the hook up in Ohio. HAHAHAHA.

Don't you mean all the litigation from the GOP over provisional ballots in Ohio? They are going to try to keep as many voters as they can from having their votes counted. There is enough provisional ballots to swing Ohio Kerry's way, if the GOP actually lets every vote count.

Soon enough Seamonster, soon enough. When Bandit's name comes up in the forthcoming draft, im sure we'll see a very frightened young man being dragged kicking and screaming to serve as further cannon fodder in this "war that will not end in our lifetimes".

Better start brushing up on your arabic too while your doing your marching drills bandit. lol.

If he even survives, he'll likely either become a willingly indoctrinated drone living in denial over the atrocities he was ordered to commit or else bear serious psychological scars after having finally been confronted with the ugly reality behind the jingoistic "serve your nation" PR sold to the public by the self serving MIC.

    hey!! no fighting!

now we are all experiencing disgust and upsetness if you did not vote for bush. and those who did are happy. i for one did not for him because i oppose war and all the lies he tells. and this is my freedom of opinion. we here at hippy.com are not to call names for no reason but try to work together for the good of the country. peace...peace.

    p.s.
war is over if YOU want it.

With all due respect Laurel, policy is not dictated by existential or wishful thinking. The warmongers have received the mandate they sought and now have nothing to lose and plenty to gain in extending it further.

yeah i kinda agree with gmdukes.. i dont like either, but if i was in america i would have probly voted kerry, mainly as bush fucked up, so might as well give kerry a chance not to. and as you said about the soldiers.. presidential change would probly have a wierd sideeffect with the forces.. but hey, not my country

You know, I really appreciate your positivism. We are all living in the same world, and in this case, many of us in the same country. We share a common bond, and therefore we must stand together reguardless of our diverse opinions. We are where we are, and no matter what happens

    GOD BLESS AMERICA!!
