One of the Housewives from one of the towns uses that term on tv...I think it is Housewives Atlanta.....I wonder if she invented the word.
Pretty sure the term came from rap dudes. I heard the word years and years ago, just didn't know what it meant.
I gave up on bed sheet a very long time ago. I thrash around a lot in my sleep. I can't wear clothes to bed because I end up strangling myself on them and they'll leave marks everywhere. Apparently I have violent shuddering episodes when I'm falling asleep too. If I had cowboy spurs... wouldn't be fun to sleep with.
Rainy, I like you, I do. But you just posted a Miley Cyrus video... I have to leave your thread now. Good day
I don't think it's flinching, cuz when I've caught myself flinch before falling asleep, that really startles me.. I think it's more of kind of a nervous habit/rocking motion that is comforting to fall asleep to... but I think since twerking has become popularized, I've turned it more into a twerking motion, I subconsciously twerk...haha
Horrible song and video, I know. But I bet you watched it twice in a row. Maybe? Maybe not. I like her; She's misunderstood. Plus, I needed to show an example of twerking for educational purposes.
That flinching motion when falling asleep is called a "Hypnic Jerk".... Could be the name of a new dance though.
I flinch too sometimes. That's what happens when I'm really, really exhausted and it tends to wake me up a lot before I actually fall asleep, I also make noises when I flinch...this "twerking" is different though. I think rainy and I are on the same wavelength here. My exes have noticed it and thought it was some intentional "come hither" move and it was just me falling asleep.
Normally with the information that it contains shaking ass, I would be all over it. But not this time...
Because of my back injury it's hard for me to sleep "normally". I have to be on my side or stomach. And because of that I have done this as well. I have woken up a few times with my ass cranked high in the air, becuase that is how I was able to sleep (apparently) with minimal pain. Or I could have been dreaming about a few of the "others" here. Who knows.
