Soda is way worse for ya than coffee.

I drink 2 pots a day. I make one when I get up and another around 3ish. I even drink it when it's hot outside. My friends have laughed at me for having a cold beer and cup of coffee at the same time. lol

Definitely an addict but I don't see it as a problem.

I never start the day with coffee though - always china tea which I drink without milk. I switch to coffee later in the day.

BFD. Go cold turkey, two days of headaches and you're done.

Caffeine just makes me want to smoke weed and tobacco anyway.

I don't 'need' any of it and feel much better without.

I still drink tea but not everyday, (anymore) The theanine in tea moderates the effects of caffeine.

Definitely smoother. You should try some Pu' ehr tea. It's the good drugs! Get the raw aged stuff, though some like the "cooked"

It's actually different than any other kind of tea. It still has enzymes that allow it to age. Some of the really good aged stuff can command quite a price! You can get some good deals on Ebay if you are willing to roll the dice and order direct from China. Otherwise you can go through a broker but you will pay a premium.
I can give a quite euphoric buzz, unlike any other tea I've tried. The taste depends on a lot of factors. The quality of the leaf material, how long it's aged, the age of the trees, where its grown, the season it's picked, etc. Pu'erh tea only comes from four regions of Yunnan valley, China
It's a really deep and interesting subject actually and I'm still learning myself. Check out this site, Cram packed with info for us neophytes. Finding the good shit is an adventure. Check out my HF photo album for some pics of the Pu'erh I've tried so far.

    I haven't had those in a while.

Should get some. I like coffee, but sometimes there's no time and you need to be out the door.

I think I had around 10 cups today.

8-12 shots of espresso is my normal if I'm making it, today was drip coffee of someone else's creation.

I used to drink energy drinks upon energy drinks plus 2-4 cups of coffee in the morning alone. Up until I started getting face twitches that lasted for days. I cut out energy drinks completely but still drank lots of coffee and still had the face twitches thing going on. Asked my doctor about it and he was no help (like always). So I switched to decaf and found out, oddly enough, as soon as I drank some decaf the twitches almost instantly went away! After I got hooked on decaf I was able to taper down and switched to tea, to just juice, to fruit to nothing at all. I stopped drinking soda and caffeine altogether for about a year or so. A few slip ups every now n then, but it's not like I was severely addicted to some crazy drug.

Switched back to tea and slowly went back to coffee now and then. I still get face twitches now and then but it's probably from eye strain w my new glasses or something. Who knows? Unless it's becoming a health problem or you're trying to save some change, I don't think it's a problem. Energy drinks are nasty tho, plus all the garbage they put in them... Had a friend that had a serious addiction problem with energy drinks. He'd literally drink at least 4 a day and knew he had a problem. I'd joke with him any time I'd see him with one, "Buddy, we're gonna have to stage an intervention and get you some help!"
