I study martial arts at a nearby dojo. A couple of weeks ago I was hanging out with my buddies waiting for the girls class to end. The class was for women's self defense. During every class, this 40+ year old guy stands in the doorway watching his girls. We all think that he thinks that he is the man. Well he happened to be wearing sweatpants that day and one of my friends dared me to jerk his pants down to his ankles and like a ninja, do a front roll to the front desk jump over it then do another roll out the door and then run to safety while my friends caught it on camera. Well, while the guy stood there with his arms folded across his chest, I gathered all of my courage and dove after his trousers. I shucked them to the ground - almost pulled them clean off and wiped the sweat from my brow with them. I did my rolls and dashed out the door. I stopped at the corner only to hear my friends yelling at me to keep running as they were sprinting toward me. When we finally stopped, they told me the stupid guy was not wearing underwear. On my friend's phone you could see there was a 3 second delay from the time his waistband touched the ground until he realized why several females started screaming. That's when my friends took off. We figured the cops were called so none of us has been back. There are security cameras everywhere and we all are known well there. I guess I will just let the last 8 months of my membership run out. None of us know if the guy got in trouble for flashing the class. I'm afraid I have ruined his reputation. I'm not sure how to resolve the situation. I bet his daughters hate his guts for embarrassing them. I feels so bad - even though I can't stop laughing. What should I do?
Thank you for the advice. I think I have no choice but to do just that for some time - maybe even the rest of my life. Even though you are right, is still feel deep down that I can correct things. I know you can never unshuck someones sweatpants, but I wonder if confessing (in person, not just on here) would make me feel better or at least just make the guy feel better for my taking responsibility.
If they know you ... and if they have security cameras everywhere ... and if the police were called ... then I figure you'd have had a tap on your door by now. Stop worrying ... I don't think anybody is on your case.
I forget what they call the head instructor in martial arts...and here I took a few courses. DOH! Anyhow, I wonder what he/she said about it.
Wow. What a funny thing to do. Very clever. The next funny and clever thing that you and your friends should do is the cinnamon challenge. Eat a cup of cinnamon. Record the results and put it on Youtube. Profit.
Ok, I'm finally going to update. I have not yet gone back to the dojo. One of my friends who was not involved has told us us that people do bring up the incident from time to time and the two owners have said that they do not want the people who were involved in the incident back. One of the owners said she did not want to go into details but she told my friend that they are pretty sure who did it because of rumors and because they know who has not shown up for classes lately. This makes me think that the security cameras were not on or they would definitely know who was involved. They might only turn on the security stuff at night. I was also told that the guy who's sweatpants I pulled down does not come into the dojo anymore. He drops his daughters off, leaves, then picks them up after class. I have ruined everything. It was a stupid prank. Now my cohorts and I can't go back, I have thoroughly embarrassed a man and his daughters, and the guy can't go watch class now. I am thinking that I should confess and try to fix things but I don't kniw how to fix anything. Confessing still won't fix things. I thought about getting one of my friends to pants me in tge street when the guy picks up his daughters so they can see that it happens to other people too (only I will be wearing underwear). Maybe he will feel less shame and he can gain some respect back from his daughters. I really don't know. Any suggestions?
By Staying Away You Have Made Yourself Look Like The Most Likely Suspect, I Suggest You Just Front Up, And If Anyone Says Where Have You Been, Just Lie Your Tit's Off And Say You Have Been Sick, Or On Holidays. If They Say They Have CCTV Footage Of You, Demand To See It, And If They Can't Produce The Evidence, Then Just Walk Right In, And Continue With Your Class As If Nothing Ever Happened.... Cheers Glen.
Well Glen, that exactly the opposite of what I would do. I'd front up, look the guy in the eyes and tell him how truly sorry I am and how stupid and immature it was. Then take anything he throws at you. And the same to the owners and instructors and students. It take a bigger man to admit to his wrong doings than it is for one to lie like a bitch. But it will build character and that's all a part of what makes you a man. If they kick you out, then they do. But you must, I feel, accept the responsibility.
That would be a truly dumb thing to do. And if it was a set-up, then it would NOT "show that it happens to other people".
