in the age of media of course people accept it, if it is there on the internet or TV it must be true.

people have totally bought into spend more and it makes things better, it is why most people have massive debt. The current system encourages it because they know it means they can control people.

Always thought debt was modern day slavery. Not as overt and obvious and horrible as the past. More subtle and more encompassing of all of society, or most of it any way.

Yes just inflate everything and make the dollar worth less, that'll help consumers so much

and if people were paid a fair wage they would not have to spend money they don't have in order to eat. The only other choice for little people is going to jail for just taking - which does not happen with the upper class just takes

I have often wondered who exactly writes their articles. Do they pay high school kids, or just any random person they can find? Some of the articles I have read on there are just atrocious and full of blatant misinformation.

Since I have Yahoo! set to my homepage, as I use Yahoo! Mail, I am always forced to look at the articles it tries to pass off as news and usually end up cringing in the process. Their articles pertaining to health are particularly aggravating, because it's the same conventional health wisdom that has been being churned out for the past couple decades, which has made people as sick and fat as they are. Then you have these stupid infotainment stories that seem to comprise the bulk of the "news" on there.

All I could think was "then stop reading yahoo articles"

And yea, I know a bit bout that. The year I didn't have internet or tv (any tv) I had a cell phone w internet access- but it was not a good phone. Meaning I could do searches and read articles online but I couldn't do forums or email, etc.- only reading stuff. So when I'd be bored and/or wanted to know what's going on w something I had a couple options on my shit phone for news articles-google articles, cnn and yahoo. I would, when really bored, spend a long time reading people's comments after the articles. CNN's people were actually pretty liberal but mostly kinda intelligent...maybe not overly but they had a CLUE of what was going on. Yahoo though... wow.... who ever these people were replying to the articles had to be THE stupidest people ever... hard to believe they were out of elementary school. Yea and the articles weren't much better.
