Don't get me wrong as I write this thread. I think meat is disgusting. And in my heart of hearts I think I have always been a vegan. But I am also a realist. That is why I support the gradual abolition of meat. Besides being unsanitary and disgusting, it is also rather unhealthy. And it is not very economical (most of the investments ends up in the waste). That is why I think it will be thoroughly banned some day. It's inevitable. That is why I like the way the fictional Star Trek universe portrays the future. Very positive, in any event. I do also have to concede, I do think testing on animals is sometimes necessary to cure deadly human diseases. HIV/AIDS research couldn't exist without it. Sorry. Now I don't think it is necessary to harm little bunny rabbits to see if a cosmetic is hypoallergenic. But I do place human life above that of animal, for the time being at least. Also, I do have to wonder if they couldn't just be more merciful in the harvesting of meat, for the time being at least. My mother, in her younger years, often petitioned for this. She even single-handedly was responsible for some reform (at least according to her). As I said, I think meat is disgusting. But surely there is some common ground in the interim. Anyone else share my views?
It is not 100% saturated and it would not matter if it is. It is trans fat found in margarine, some veg oils and shortenings that is bad for your heart. The excess omega-6 found in seed oils are also bad for your heart.
In My Long And Healthy Life On This Earth.......I Have Learned One Important Thing........ "Vegie Heads" Are A Hazard To Our Health..... .....I Have Met Many Over The Years And Without Doubt I Would Describe EVERY SINGLE ONE As A "Border Line NUTCASE".......... The Body Was Designed For A "Balanced Diet"............Once You Take This To "Extremes" Either Way.... You Will Encounter "Problems"...... ......(ducks for cover as the bullets fly overhead).......
