Can't blame vegetarians for playing with this question. The obvious answer is: there is more meat on a pig.
I'll eat anything that isn't human. Being at the top of the food chain beats the hell out of any other alternative.
implications obviously vary from culture to culture. some people eat dog who would never eat sheep or goat. some places most people are vegitarian. some get their protien and nourisment from horses blood, in small enough amounts to not threaten the health of the horse. to each their own. i've never had dog or cat that i know of. though i'm sure i've had sqwirl and i know i've had rabbit, deer and bear. (if you can imagine trying to chew vulcanized rubber that tastes like pork, that's bear). no they don't all taste like chicken. i don't think i've ever had rattle snake either, though that one i'd be interested to try. pigs and rabbits of course, can also make good pets, and as the meat of the day at the resteraunt at the end of the universe pointed out, some vegitables have very strong opinions about being eaten. as long as i'm not on the menu, and for that matter, i'd rather be lunch for some wild creature then burned at the stake in the middle of town square by a raving mob of fanatics. oddly enough, meet IS murder. that is to say, killing is killing, and anything with a brain is as much a person as you are. but eating what you kill is not unnatural in any way. the simple answer is to eat what you think is right, and not tell someone else what they should. we may have to start asking first before we kill or eat anything, if we ever make contact with the rest of the universe though. there's no reason to expect people who evolve independently on the worlds of other solar systems to resemble us in any way.
I'd eat human if it was offered to me just to see what it would be like. I've eaten lots of random meats. Ostrich, crocodile etc. I'll take some human pork next with lots of crispy skin. Mmm.
