I've been jamming with a saxophonist and its fucking awesome. Sax is pretty much the best instrument ever. You can just be playing nice simple stuff on the keys and the sax just carries that melody into another dimension man. Can we have some saxophone appreciation up in this thread? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yIxzBeRDk8&list=PLtj5pPbYXK6kDxW2fggPODxeXdOOtjzDx&index=5"]Chet Baker & Bill Evans - I talk to the trees - YouTube (and by appreciation I mean videos)
That's very sexy sax indeed. I'll appreciate. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N8IxeWJpBVg"]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N8IxeWJpBVg This was actually composed by Marcus Miller, which I find a bit crazy cos it's so different to his other shit which is generally a little more aggressive.. but yeah, Sanborn rocks, massive respect

I covered Baker Street for my music production course in college.. I used to love that song so much, but after listening to the recording 4,000 times a day during mixing, I can't actually take it anymore Also why I decided that was not a viable career path for me Still, dope song. Even though I can't listen to it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ro4yhp9L6Ok"]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ro4yhp9L6Ok Sax is only at the end, and not very long.. no idea why they decided to cut that solo short, it starts off so god damn awesome. And LOL Mama

The saxophone is a beautful instrument, and I appreciate it...to add appreciation here, but I cannot think of a song right now.
lol Mama. I wish the guy had come in to my biology class! My mother used to call it the sexy horn. I saw another version of this song on another thread and it reminded me of the sax in it. A short solo by Kirk Pengilly at 2:40. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yyZU4iNRdsM"]INXS - Never Tear Us Apart - YouTube
I often can be overwhelmed when I hear a good sax piece too. But when i try to indulge more in it I always have to conclude it is not the best overall instrument, just unmatchable in certain particular instances. Overall, many other instruments suit me better (even piano! )
My husband used to be an aaaaamazing sax player. He hasn't played in years, I've never heard him, but he's a local legend as far as the high school band goes lol.
BBAD Did You Ever See The Cop Pursuit Video Of The Woman In A 1.5 Litre Stick Shift Car Outrunning The Hwy Patrols Cars....??? It Was Set To This Music *yackittity sax* And It Was A Hoot...:2thumbsup: Cheers Glen.
I don't usually care much for sax but one of the few times it's moved me to tears is during the end of Michael Bundt's 'Neon'; unfortunately the song is broken up into two parts on Youtube so coming in here with 3 minutes left ruins the effect it has: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uotGrBEJw8c"]Michael Bundt - Neon (Neon part 2) - YouTube
