I also dig both of em. Won't lie didn't really read the thread, if I wasn't in bed on my iPod, I'd post that video, "CAT, I'm a kitty cat, and I dance dance dance and I dance dance dance"!!!!!!! ()(;&@$@@$"$;&[]{}%^+=•¥£€>~|\_,,!! Lol old as heck if anyone remembers that viral sensation from like 2005
Lulz! I posted that on hahaha04's profile a while back. The "hahaha" part is how I always read his screen name
I have fond feelings towards cows. Atleast certain types of cows. Or "steaks" as they are more commonly known But seriously, cows? : D
You should look them in the eyes for awhile and tell me if it made you feel more relaxed or not! It works better with alive cows by the way.
Hmm. I think I know what you mean. I have a similar thing with pigs. Problem is, relatively speaking for a pig or cow... their life might not end in a particularly nice way. I mean, if I'm out in the country I can say hello to a horse, knowing he isn't gonna wind up as someone's dinner. I feel a bit guilty/like I can't look food animals in the eye... Its a bit spooky when you think that farm animals are probably as smart as/smarter than most people's household pet. Altho I have resisted the temptation to let a pony into my house.. I'll leave that one to Irish gypsies.. : D
I have no problem with that at all. It is clear to me a cow in a field has no idea how it's going to end. It's not busy with it AT ALL. I am not busy with it neither when I see them doing their thing. As long as they're outside with other cows and treated well they have at least a good of a life as the average pet. So no problem here looking them in the eye For me it strangely only gets spooky when you see them handled by a milking robot, living inside all day and handling a button to activate a computerized system to get their food.
Yeah I think you are right. But I dunno.. my mind sometimes flashes to images of abattoirs, death and stuff.. Even if they're just milk cows.. I know, I am mad hehe
No need to feel guilty of slaughtering an animal when you do it with both the right motive and the right procedure. If we (as a consumer) don't have an influence on malpractices during their lifes we should get that influence (happily there are initiatives being taken). I would feel more guilty about slaughtering a human (royal or not) for what we think might be the right motive.
Um, lots of milk cows are still killed, they are given diseases, get infections easily that are mostly ignored, hormones to make them produce milk for longer and they are very often not given time and space outside. Only small farms do that for the vast majority of the time. Pigs are really cool, by the way, they make good pets.
Who said nothing bad is happening to milk cows anywhere? And what is wrong with killing old milk cows for consumption?
Where I said slaughtering I ment slaying, stop the time! I feel obligated to bring the thread on topic again, so here's a pic of a cat:
