I use to have a big ole tom cat that would disappear for 5 or 6 days. He'd come back cut up sometimes and after he'd lick his wounds do a week he'd head back out again. He was cool but most cats are gay, not in a love you man kinda gay either.
Just Deleted All The Nudie Pic's You Have Sent Me Over The Years, And You Now Have A "Perma-Ban" From My Xmas Card List Starting This Year............:toetap05: Cheers Glen.
They sure can have loyalty!! I love cats. They're interesting to watch, fun to play with, and there's nothing cuter than a kitten. They're super loving (only gross when they drool) If you get a really cool cat, they can go on walks or do things. they can be dog like without the horrible dependency.
UTTER BULLSHIT......I Have Cats That If Someone Broke In Here They Would Attack Them Just Like A Dog Would, Stop Talking Out Ya Ass.... Sneers Glen.
Might be a territory issue instead of out of loyalty We should ask Henry (the french philosopher cat). I bet he has pondered about this matter as well for many hours.
I watched a documentary about cats yesterday evening. They followed the behaviour about 40 or 50 pet cats in an english village with camera's and motion trackers. Most interesting conclusion: they do not hunt as much on mice and birds etc. because it was discovered that although they have clear territories, once another cat was out on it's round at night another came in their house through the pet door munching on their food. Noticing how the cats that did that went always to the same house and didn't look up or behind them indicates that it is a regular practice They generally did that at night and when they went home and their owners saw them with a full belly and being lazy/tired they were so proud on their little hunters
my friends used to have cats that would jump up on your shoulders, it was pretty sweet. in my experience cats are loyal, cute, fun to play with, and funny.
 Cats are alright. I like the ones that aren't assholes, which seem to be few and far between, in my experience. The reason I got rid of the last cat I had, was because she got jealous when I had my first kid, and showed her jealousy by repeatedly pissing all over his toys and bedroom. I've had a couple good cats in my lifetime, but I feel about cats the way a lot of people feel about kids. I like them, but I don't want any of my own!
No! They're for crazy lonely chicks and feminine men AND crazy lonely dudes and feminine women :sunny:
I use to live in a house with two cats. Whenever I would call their names, they would come running across the house and jump into my lap. I heard that after I left, they started shedding a huge amount of hair, apparently from stress. They were beautiful, intelligent, affectionate, and indeed loyal animals. It's been years since I saw them last, but I think about them just about every day.
Wine, haha. Back in high school a friend of mine would blow pot smoke in his cat's face. He swore up and down that he saw it laugh.
I can't understand people who don't have a passion for cats. Lots of religions talk about cats in spiritual terms. Infact in some religions cats have been worshipped. They also have huge therapeutic and relaxational properties. I love dogs too. But I can't imagine not having cats. Dogs can be friends with most people. But cats are different, I would say they can be much more loyal to one person than many dogs. They are also very clever. Not in a human way. But they must be the envy of the whole animal kingdom. Private health care, warmth, food, lots of attention. And unlike dogs, no one ever expects them to work for a living hehehe.
I dig both cats and dogs, I've owned quite a few more cats than dogs though. Not sure that's a preference of one over the other. Seems a lot of people that don't like cats really can't handle their intelligence...
