I hate when driving and a deer pops out in front of you, that is scary, that's almost like hitting a human...I almost hit one, but my quick cat-like reflexes were working that day and I stopped in time and it kicked my car and put a huge dent in it...
Scary. I was driving home in the pouring rain one time at night and a huge buck was on the side of the road, I though he was going to dart across, but he turned at the last second and went the opposite direction...I don't think I would have survived that crash.
that's crazy, I bet your heart was pounding, I am glad it didn't though, crashes with horses or anything of that size would not turn out too good.. I hate seeing dead dogs or cats in the road though, I know it's hard to see them and sometimes you end up hitting them but it's still sad...Wonder if people would be as sad if they ran over a human or saw a dead human in the street...
I try to avoid hitting anything. So far I have not hit anything personally, but I have been a passenger when a friend killed a cat (there was nothing she could have done, we were on a highway and it practically ran right under the car) and when my husband hit a dog in town...it was snowing hard and someone's dog had gotten out or wasn't tied up...it ran out in front of us, we hit it and it went under the car, got up and ran down the road...I was crying and everything...loser  But luckily we didn't crash, I was pregnant at the time.
oh god, squirrels. Okay I ADORE animals but seriously. I think squirrels are going to scratch my eyes out. And I think birds are demons. DEMONS. I scream.
Poor turtle, poor you! I have stopped to let my son pick them up after a good rain sometimes. I know I would feel bad too, if I had ever run over one.
Squirrels aren't that bad. Red squirrels are cool. Black squirrels are pretty neat too. I eat lunch with them in a field sometimes. Some squirrels will eat the white part of the bread but throw away the crust. Wonder why. They hold a piece of bread with their hands and eat everything except the crust. .
It can be risky bringing a squirrel into your house and feeding it, even if only once. They sometimes invite their friends in afterward if they can sneak in through cracks and things. If you happen to be away on vacation or something, a small group of squirrels can wreck your house. .
Squirrels got into my shed and ate my husband's hockey equipment...they will chew though ANYTHING to make a nest...even a skate...
I hit a girl on my moterbike once. She was probably 10 or 11. She and a little boy were in the lane as i approached, i slowed down and beeped and they moved to the side, as i passed they ran right in my path bending down for something, .. i swerved to the right to avoid them and they ran in my path again!! So i hit the bank and the girl at the same time, .. sent her flying. She was ok, her mother worked in a pub just down the road so i talked to her. Horrible feeling though. Also reminds me of a time driving to a party out of town in thick fog, 4 up and pretty wasted on a small motercycle (125), driving along the white line at 20 or 25 mph we just hit someone walking right out of the fog in the middle of the road, we wobbled and kept going. I think/hope they were ok. LOL .. not the sort of thing i do now of course Yeah i hate treading on snails in the dark too ... such mindless death.
speaking of mindless death, you should have seen this little brat at the 4th of july cookout. he was someone's kid, dunno the parents. anyhow, he sees a frog on the driveway, and walks over and steps on it's legs so they break and he can watch it squirm. then he proceeds to throw snap dragons at it, and then finally finishes it off in a grotesque stomping fest. there were guts everwhere. poor thing. what is wrong with people? at such a young age too. cruely to animals is one of the signs of a future serial killer....
