Celibacy is pretty awesome.

I've never been very sexual, and I'm extremely glad that I'm this way.

I'm able to achieve so much personal and social growth, while everyone else is too busy trying to get fucked. I honestly find the humanity's obsession with sex ridiculously sad.

Yeah. I've never minded not having sex. It's not something I actively pursue.

I will have sex if I meet the right person though. It's not like I'm turning not having sex into a religion.

...and hell, I've had sex on a couple of drunken nights this year, but I ended up regretting it... it just wasn't worth it.

I also went through a slight sex-crazed phase during my first semester in college.. but it didn't last long. I got bored. I only went through it because it was ridiculously easy to get laid... women are not as complicated as they would like you to believe... especially when you have a sexy foreign accent

 

Yeah... masturbating is cool. I don't see how it gets in the way of celibacy.

Anyhow... I don't even like the concept of celibacy. I'm not going to make an effort to not have sex... and reject it at every possibility. That sounds a little silly and restrictive. I just don't have the sex addiction most people seem to have.

 

well there are different degrees to it. There's no sexual relations celibacy and the no sexual activity celibacy.

 

No sexual activity celibacy must suck.

Masturbation has always seemed just as natural as taking a shit to me. I don't see a single reason for someone to repress their natural sexual impulses.

 

Yeah, me neither. That's exactly why I'm not having sex, because now I just have sex with the right person and it really doesnt bother me to not be having sex. I just dont think about it.

 

Well, I went out of my way to not have sex for close to two years in Australia. I lived on a farm and just wanted to get to know myself a little better before I tried to give myself to anybody.
But now, I know who I am. Extended periods of celibacy by choice are good for personal development but extended periods of forced celibacy are bad for sexual abuse figures. Just look at the catholic church.

 

Oh. Well then I'm practicing the first one. But not for religious reasons. I just think it's ridiculous (for me) to have sex with anybody I don't care about (or vice versa). It's awkward and unenjoyable. Even if it does feel good.
And there is currently no boy/girl in my life that I care about in that way.

 

I dont think anyone should repress anything. I just never really liked masturbating, I find it kinda... hmm boring. I like my sexual activity to be shared
I mean it's not like I dont do it EVER, but it's very rare.

I agree, any potential good thing when forced is counterproductive. Celibacy should be a personal choice.
