does it have to be sweet? i had a craving for peanut butter earlier which i satisfied with a tofu bars marinated in a peanut butter sauce. i usually use the sauce for stir-fries, especially spinach or asian greens, carrot and tofu over brown rice. put a good-sized glop of peanut butter in a measuring cup. add a mighty squirt of bragg's liquid aminos or soy sauce, a drizzle of chinese sesame oil, some chopped fresh garlic and ginger, and a pinch of cayenne. if you have some thai spice blend, use that. add a little hot water and stir until creamy. it's totally amazing over greens and tofu. i'd like to add that peanut butter and pickle sandwiches are amazing, and its also good with a nice deli mustard and lettuce, tomato & cucumber, or with crumbled tempeh bacon.
stir a couple spoonfulls into your hot chocolate. just make sure the water is boiling, or close to it, cause otherwise it'll take a lot more stirring for it to melt. oh, and add a drop of vanilla extract. i just made this and it was delicious. just make sure you drink it all before it gets cold, or the peanut butter might start to take form again.
