YESSSSSSSS Fleet Foxes. I also recommend you get your hands on Bonnie 'Prince' Billie and some Bon Iver, if you're feeling folky.
Bon Iver has one good song but everything else I've heard doesn't really live up IMO. Bonnie Prince Billie and Matt Sweenie's superwolf is one of my favourite albums.

I love Fairport Convention. Dave, I'm not sure if this is up your alley but for something a little different try Kila, a modern trad irish band, especially the album, 'Tog e go bog e'.
