I mean. All plants are the same height. While this isnt a 100% probability all Fems. its a good chance that locating one. And the rest of the room started at the same time. You will likely have all the same sex. Should you see taller ones of the same strain. Then they could be males. Its a guessing game at times, and can help a bit by height alone.
Getting Good seed stock helps the chance of more females. As Bag seed is cluster fucked.
Its just a little early under that light hrs, to tell. A little cut back it lighting will help, but in this case I dont know how and when you wnat to start flowering.

Flowering could be startied now. But I dont think its recomended before maturity. But many ppl do it. Including myself Just not often.
Usually I will swing the light back 12/12 a week restart 18/6 and plant will definitely SEX and come right back into Vegy cycle.
I would probable do this 45days into but by this time to some its flower cycle anyway. Depends on space and your need for Harvest sooner.

Oh I see as you say you a few diferent stains.. Not to worry. Prolly pretty close. Dont let that give you anxiety. Id look at the Stats on the strains. You should get a better idea. Obviously you know what your doing well..

Think the guide is 1 plant per square foot but we all break that rule Hehe. If ya get say 2 males ya still gonna be tight for elbow room so topping may only make it worse i guess. Wat i'd do is grow them to just over half the final height you want allowing a foot 4 ya lighting n the heat they give off and then turn them over to bloom. Why be down when ya growing wat looks like some tasty old plants at ya first attempt which is more then wat other do.

 

Morning all, My biggest concern is blocking off the A/C, I've checked the expected height, Bigbud 50MM Bubblegum 100 to 150 or 3 to 31/2 foot indoor. Right now Bigbud is my biggest plant with the bubblegum catching it in height. I'm giving them 18 hours of light, I keep the PH around 6 and the PPM under 800. I'm getting ready to flower, I need to know what these are considered so I can feed them correctly, 1 low light flowers, 2 full sun flowers or 3 full sun fruits and veggies? I want to thank all that have helped me get to this point.

Any chance of getting ya a/c higher or at the top of ya set up?. I dont go much by expected heights I've topped cutting as soon as they started t grow n there've still grown above my head. Hmm dont get ya question but blooming you reduce the light t 12 hour on 12 off and maybe add a little more red into the colour mix (2000,2700k). As for plant food you start t increase the pk (potassium and phosphorus) levels whiles reducing nitrogen levels so as ya get t the last few weeks your just feeding pk. Be careful with the p and k as there normally all salt based plant foods meaning if ya over feed any thats not used up by the plant will over time revert back to its salt base and raise the ph and kill ya plants if ya unlucky. As for ph anything on the slightly acid side is good.

 

No, the A/C is installed and it doesn't move, I try to keep the intake clear under that mess so far it's working great. As far as topping goes, I just put them into 12/12, I've found 6 Fems with THICK stems. Do I just get a hack saw and cut off the main colas? I hate messing with the main colas but I want to SCROG this and it's my first grow under these conditions. My last grow was 25 years ago. I just added some pics, I tried to get some inter nodes, I'm looking for two tiny white hairs and finding lots of them.

Ya dont even need that just pinching out the growing head with ya fingers will do the trick be careful not t damage the young leaves that are forming under the head although they will still grow but just be a bit deformed. If ya use your finger tips t lightly push the top small leaves out the way the head is easily seen coz its on a small stalk n by lifting ya fingers a little easy t pinch with your nails. Only tried once n were.nt as good but dont worry if ya dont get all the head as this is called fim or fudge it missed lol. Other method is topping in which ya just cut top inch or so off so ya back to nice mature leaves. After only a few days in some cases your start t see 2 heads starting t grow where the old head was and even heads start t form low down you plants.

 

Well, It was hard but I went in and pinched a few. I'm not sure if I did it right, I might have pinched to hard on some or not enough on others but they still have plenty of time to cook. I've cleaned up the under growth around the intake to the A/C to insure nice cool air and ordered a Carbon scrubber just incase the car complains. Thanks for the advice.

Must admit it not easy the first time coz ya not shore if ya've done it rite or even if its the rite thing to do but its 1 of them things after the first time ya soon work it out. Aww i didnt say but try not t remove to many leaves at this stage as that where your new branches will grow from. No need 4 thanks just grow some kick arse pot n enjoy is good enough.

 

Hi All,
Today I avoided a disaster, I awoke to find my reservoir almost empty and a mess on the floor. I first thought it was a bad auto valve but it turned out to be a cracked ¼ tubing thanks to the CRAP plastic splitters you get. I ran to Home Depot, got what I needed to fix the fucker and managed to fix it. I broke a shit load of branches but I managed on this one.


For whatever it’s worth I’m almost positive I have 7 Fems and one male. The male hasn’t shown his balls but he’s nothing like the others. Strange can only get t this post from the side menu. Aww nothing like a spot of running repairs. Cant tell from pic if male or not, if you pinched the head off that one maybe the stress will make it show. not a hard n fast method but most male plants tend to grow like rockets are taller and less bushy then females. I know ya wanna do scrog but if ya thinking about christmas smoke time is getting on and would say only a week or 2 at most b4 ya'd need to start blooming.

 

Hi to All, Yeah, I use quick reply so I would bet that's the reason, I didn't spend my whole life doing shit. I pulled what I thought to be a my male plant and as hard as I look, I don't see any balls. Notice the first pic, it's plastic with 1" holes, I figured that would work, I want to put it at about 5+ feet I could go higher but I have a 2 by 4 I would like to use. In a few days it will be past that point. Please check out my close-up (second pic), it's how I determined the sex.

If you leave a suspected male the balls will drop (lol) and be held by a little stalk and then open a few days later revealing the pollen sacks. females get sim to balls but there more oval and have white or brownish hair (pisil) coming from it and they do not drop. Its another 1 of them things once ya seen it once ya be able to spot them pretty early. Dont worry even if some pollen escapes your be most unlike to get ya females pregnant as your continuing on a growing cycle.

 

I checked out each plant, I'm 99.9 percent sure the rest are Fems. I started training them and I've pinched many. I want to keep it eye level, look at my last post and check out the material, it's 1" square, Plastic and easy to work with.

 

Thats screen looks ok to me, its got a little bit of give in it. Really size of the holes not to important as long as there not to small coz its only really there so you got something to train them to grow side way on. Hehe I've seen it done using an old bed frame using the metal mess support and thats got quite large holes.

 

My Yo-yo light hangers have reached their top, I can go up about another 12" in light hight Max, I want to Screen it in at 5 1/2 foot on the 2" by 4" ledge I have in the box (see pic with thermometer). So that gives me about 6" of grow room. Have a good rest of the weekend to all.

Hi all,
Today I put up my SCROG screen, the only thing I can say positive about what I used is that it's very light and easy to work with. I would have broken a whole lot of plants if I would have used real chicken wire. So it's been a week in Flowering and I'm expecting to see some buds soon. I'm hoping to have this done by Xmass?

Hi All,
I'm just trying to keep up to date, my plants have been under 12/12 for 7 days. Yesterday I changed the fluids and forgot to turn the turn the feeding valve back to it's open position. I realized it after about 6 hours but I don't think it will affect the plants. I'm attaching my BUD shots, I'm not to good at using this close up feature so give me a break. One other question, I have no idea what to expect at harvest and I know it all depends, but as a general rule what can a person expect, if I go by the seed company I'm going to have whatever 2m, I have no idea what M2 means.
