We don't get really cold very often. Well i guess its prolly freezing in comparison to LA, but we dont get heavy snows often either. Maybe like once every few years we will get a big dump of snow, but not very bad.

I looked up your city to find a bit more info and it sounds like a really good place. Hows the employment there though?

I would recommend Missoula Montana. They have a lot of the requirements you list, cleaner air, good bud at good prices, considerably cheaper living than L.A., it has 4 seasons, but the winters aren't as bad west of the divide, where Missoula is located. It doesn't get nearly as cold in Missoula as it does where I am out in far northeastern Montana. We're establishing a wireless canopy network, most of Montana, except the very remote places such as my location have high speed internet. Now, so do we.
Check out Missoula's voted #1 festival for 4 years in a row -
    http://www.missoulahempfest.com/
Hempfest is a great time to vacation to Missoula to check out the vibe. It's a great town, lots of kind folks.

Montana is great. If you're looking for smaller towns that are less expensive, there's plenty of such places. Good bud is everywhere in western Montana from Kalispell near Glacier National Park where you can get it delivered to your tent, to Bozeman at the north gate of Yellowstone Park. All of those small cities are laid back and sweet. I love the Montana culture, everything is made simple, none of California's red tape. Good down to Earth, close to nature, honest, still will lend stangers a helping hand kind of place.

Other locations I would consider if I were you are Arcata, California in Humboldt County, I want to retire there.

Eugene Oregon, outside of Eugene, outside of Portland, anywhere in Oregon.

Seattle and the northern suburbs of Seattle, Snohomish, Washington is nice, there's lots of lakes and towns, Lake Stevens, Lake this and that, TONS of the BEST bud for the best prices I've ever seen in the USA. I would highly recomend it.

Im wondering that too... Actualy, Eureka looks really nice, and at this point, id say probably the best contender...
and whats even cooler is, earlier today (after I made this first post) my girlfriend called, and we talked a little about moving somewhere else. And we even talked about moving to artists community.
And then I look up the Wikipedia on Eureka (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eureka,_CA)
and its listed as the Number 1 in the book "The 100 Best Small ARt Towns in America"!

So I think that will pretty much sell her...

im gunna research it a little bit more... im quite interested.

    I don't reccomend Tampa, FL...but I do reccomend...SUNNY MOTHA FUCKIN CLEARWATER!

    :)

    Clearwater, FL or St. Pete

Basically, you're directly on the gulf of mexico, the weed here is good, there's broadband...it's a hop skip and a jump from Centro Ybor (Full of clubs, headshops, cuban cigar companies, movie theatres...really really cool place)

Obviously, it doesn't snow. It's cheap to move here too, probably the cheapest place you'll find that isn't po-dunk. (Though gas is like 2.75 now...lame...used to a dollar 3 years ago) Clearwater Beach has very fine, almost powderly like sand.

The air isn't the cleanest air in the world, but it's definately not dirty either. We keep our water blue :)

As for colleges, there's USF, HCC, UT, Eckerd College, and a whole bunch of others.

There's a bunch bunch bunch of restaurant (Especially in Ybor and downtown Tampa...downtown tampa is cool, if you move there, that's fine...but New Tampa sucks balls...just developments)

And also, if you still enjoy the types of forests and such that you have out in Cali, and don't want to see TOO many palm trees...I can reccomend Gainesville...home of the Florida Gators.

Cypress trees, beef jerky, and mushrooms galore! Very beautiful area, the air up there you feel lightheaded it's so perfect ;)

Many many many festivals and such in that area too because UF is a BIG BIG BIG pothead college (Rated like 3rd by High Times)

Anyway, any other questions about either of the two ask...

But remember, Florida has free mushrooms everywhere bwahhaa

Come up north to the Bay Area man. You could get a place in Livermore or something that's affordable and you're right next to Oakland, Frisco, BERKELY, not to mention like ten Cannabis Clubs.

Now man I saw you list your requirements, and i have to step in here, i registered just to tell you that vancouver should be your choice. i live here and its almost 100% with what you want.

    1. This place MUST have broadband.
    obviously does

    2. This place MUST have atleast, decent herb, with a decent price.
best place in the world asides from amsterdam i guess, everyone grows out here so you can get buddy deals for hella cheap weed and the laws are rarely enforced, you could have an ounce or more on you and won't be charged, probably just get it taken away.
    3. This place MUST not be super expensive.
vancouver downtown is expensive, but you can move to an area close by that has skytrain access. Surrey is a large suburb that is a 20 minute train ride from downtown, and is much cheaper. South Surrey and White Rock is where i live but theres no train and its more expensive, but i i love it here.

    4. I would prefer a "warm" climate, but it doesnt HAVE to be one... Just as long as I dont have to shovel snow all the time.
it snows here maybe three 4 times a year, summers aren't crazy hot and the winters are mild too, just rains a fair bit in the spring and fall

    5. I want to live somewhere with cleaner air.
air is pretty clean in the whole region, a little more than a smaller town but good for a large city.

    6. Having some nice nature around the city would be really nice...
downtown has stanley park, a huge ass park that i belive is bigger than central park, with a forest and shit, you should google maps that and see. the whole area has parks, bike trails, great skiing and boarding, good lakes too.

    7. the city should have, at the very least one of the following things.
    has everything.

    8. Bonus points if the city has any of the following things..
    a hydroponics shop - quite a few
a video rental place with "Cult" movies, Indie stuff, and other rare and hard to find things - not sure but i'd say yes
a greek restraunt - yes lots
a good japanese restraunt (there are alot of bad ones) -yep
any other selection of really good restraunts - yes again
"ethnic" parts of the city, (i.e. Little Tokyo, China Town, Little Italy)
Any other specialty food shops (like deli's, gourmet food, imported food, etc) - chinatown is huge, theres lots of asains from every country so we got real good asian food.

    9. Id also like it, if the place I went to, was atleast somewhat racialy mixed. Places where people are blatently racist are not tollerable by me.
very racialy mixed, lots of east indians and asians, everyone gets along pretty well i'd say.
    10. Also bonus points if there is a community college there.
    a few
    11. Id also like to live somewhere that is more liberal, rather than conservitive.
    very liberal.

anyways i hope this helps your choice, if you have any other questions then post em up i'd be glad to answer.

Okay, since alot of people are talking about Canada.

How hard is it to get citizenship there?
Honestly, how expensive is it up there? Like, how much would I (and my girlfriend) have to make on a yearly basis to afford all the nessisities, like... A place to stay, food, gas for the car (or any other type of transportation), insurance, etc, etc...

Cause down here, to live somewhat comfortably (in Los Angeles) I would say it costs around $30k/year.
How about up there? Cause me and my girl aint rich, and I would be a tragedy to move to a city where its even more expensive.

If you want damn near eveything you mentioned on your first list (minus the snow part) I suggest Wisconsin, anywhere near Madison. Super liberal town, every kind of people and dining and stores you could imagine. 10 minutes from madison is all farm lands and woods and stuff. Really clean air. And quality buds.

The bad parts are the weather sometimes sucks, and it changes every hour it seems. Also, all our sports teams generally suck :/

30k would be ok for living expenses to live in vancouver

as for the citizen ship, i think it's probably more of a timely process than a costly one
