One in five Americans insists the sun revolves around the earth, according to forty years of surveys by the National Science Foundation. Its not called a stereotype, when there is actual quantifiable physical evidence. Not that I expect you to comprehend that words don't have just any old meaning you want to give them. I know, I know, I make it so hard for people to actually call me names and get personal, because I only state demonstrable facts. Fantasy never interested me much, especially Three Stooges fantasies.
...There were many kinds of fish Three fish went to the fish playground and all the mackerel fish and flounder fish agreed on two things, that slides aren't as good as swings, and that the plural of fish is fish.
Here is my 1000 litre (approx on paper) tank. It’s about 210 gal U.S. full inc. filter vol. which is approx to 800 litres (displacement caused by stones etc). (I was randomfind but I think I locked myself out? Either way........I’m here anew!) It is 100% diy built by me. Empty weight is approx 350kg. When full the tank weighs as much as a small car, so it sits on RSJ and concrete block. I built it about 11 years ago, for a large plec which grew to be almost 50cm, and a smaller one at about 38cm, (Hippostomus sp. and Glyptoperycthys gibbiceps respectively) it is one of several tanks I’ve made, although the rest are more conventional in size, except the reef concept, which conforms to no other design I know, but uses elements from common reefing ideas. While it may look impressive to some this is still considered to be the upper end of a medium sized tank and really was the bare minimum for a full grown decent sized Loricariid. The building itself is purpose built, insulated, heated, humidity controlled with running water & drainage out. I’ll add a few of the fish house and some of the stock I’ve had over the years if anybody is interested? The building has stood since 2013 and is when this shot was taken.
I've had tropical and cold water fish, my mum now has the tropical tank and my brother has the cold water tank as i now live in a first floor apartment. One of my goldfish lived to be15 i found him belly up one morning and was genuinely upset he would be the first to spot me approaching the tank with food and would swim to the surface and wait for me.
You should get one! Fish are beautiful and with the right equipment they don't need much looking after!
