Yes indeed. You are already in the library.

The difference between an enlightened person and one who isn't, is the ability to browse the shelves at will.

The unenlightened person sits in darkness and holds a single book close to their candle flame, unaware of the many books around them.

    Many "mansions" in this kingdom.

Increase your light, and watch them come out of the darkness, like the sun coming up and revealing how big this library really is.

Each book is another experience, another lifetime, another world.

The enlightened person knows how to pick one up and put it down when finished.

Many in this world can't put the book down.

    Dear Sarah,

I, myself, grew up Catholic and have "converted" to Hinduism, but I use the term loosly, as you will truly discover as you delve deeper and deeper into learning about the tradition (and there is always so much to learn) what my dear friends on this forum have already said to you. That there really is no difference. But if you do feel that after reading about Hinduism that there is something that rings true for you than please, read on! All the books BBB suggested to you are great places to start. Especially Autobiography of a Yogi. Through time, you will learn to appreciate the tradition you grew up with just as much as any new knowledge you acquire. Take it slow. Take it all in. Be open to everything and you'll find out what eventually rings most true for you. Its all the same. Its just the approach that makes you happy which will end up being the right one for you. Never forget that they are all paths up the same mountain. :)

I wish you sincere luck on any and all spiritual journey you may take in this life. :) Peace~ Hari Om. :)
