everytime someone ships be something through the postal service, it gets "lost." i think they're sellingmy stuff to support their passe insititution.

My prediction is that somehow some way there is no way Obama is going to be president, you know it I know it, he knows it.
NO FUCKING WAY will the big political players let that whimp into the [presidency of the USA. No fuckin way on earth will he last more than 10 days in the job and thats if he gets in!

What about ron Paul? He had funds basically.

It was kind of funny that he did as well as Giuliani.

An internet grass roots movement, plus some whackos, racists and whatnot, but mostly from legit grassroots. The guy had some crazy ideas. People have crazy ideas in general, it's the Ross Perot effect. Only Paul was in the Youtube era, which gave him a unique moment.

A lot of people like to be too pure or independent to go with anyone they see as mainstream or tainted. Paul and Gravel tapped into new ways of mobilizing those sentiments.

But there are things in common with Gravel'ism' too.

Just a desire to completely break with established politics and "the system," as imagined in the quasi-situationist construction of mass-society that is so prevalent these days.

I'm very much of the sort of "rebel sell" ideology: put your fucking suit on, join the party, and if you think it's a bunch of sellouts, unsell them or die trying for a less self-centered and self-indulgent variety of liberalism. It's ludicrous to suppose it's easier to take over Canada than it is to take over the Liberals

Paul was able to earn a lot of money all things considered. But he never managed to get double digits in the polls.

A lot of his effect was clearly on the jaded disestablishment crowd.
