I know this might sound kinda fucked up, but I love natural disasters. I don't feel like there is anything bad about that. I like reading news when people die by a storm, earthquake, flood, etc. It's not the same as like, a shooting, car accident, or human caused death, those aren't enjoyable. I feel like there is nothing wrong with nature playing it's course, and it is inevitable isn't it that it will happen sometimes... Actually I don't want to die anytime soon, but when I do, I feel like that is one of the best ways to go, like in a massive storm or something. I mean when I read about such news stories usually I don't feel bad, because it's just what happens, but actually find some enjoyment in the high numbers of people who are victims of the storm. Does anyone else do that? I guess I am a bit apocalyptic, a bit misanthropic, or both really.
No i feel less sad for other victims like of gunshot because a storm like you have to build or that fear and tension in you and go through all that emotional trauma and the inevitability of dying. I wouldn't want to go through that. Hopefully a gunshot never saw it coming dunno what hit 'em.
I used to be less bleek I guess but these things happen so often I had to find some positivity in it. It's just nature right? But yeah I guess if you know a storm like a hurricane was coming and chose to do nothing about it, that's be a little different.
I dont feel pleasure in people dying, i always feel a lot of sadness for people affected by natural disasters But I do think natural disasters are pretty amazing in and of themselves, it is really awe inspiring to see what the earth is capable of. Buuut the part about enjoying seeing human misery cant be healthy dude
I Love Watching Mother Nature At Work........But Not When Peeps Get Hurt, Or Worse...... Cheers Glen.
Nature is indeed fascinating. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IAa8BmuPqh8&feature=youtu.be I feel neither sad nor enjoyment as i don't see death in itself as something negative. Terrorist attacks i feel upset about regardless if anyone dies or not.
We can all agree that the funniest home videos on AFV are the ones where the people hurt themselves though, right? I dunno if I can be friends with anyone who thinks animals being animals is more funny than a stupid person hurting themselves.
I think it has to do with our own mortality. We’re fascinated with the subject because eventually we’ll all succumb to death. I’m familiar with every major disaster and disease outbreak from the Plague of Athens in 430 BC, to the eruption of Mount Tambora in 1815, to virtually every modern day disaster from the Galveston hurricane of 1900, The Hong Kong flu outbreak of 1968, to the 2010 Haiti Earthquake and the Japanese earthquake of 2011. I’m not obsessed by it nor do I try to avoid it, Hotwater
I used to really enjoy reading about disasters, atrocities, death tolls. The bigger the death toll the better it was I can sympathize with the OP. But the older I've got there was a change in me. A sudden change that I felt immediately and I became remorseful and upset. Disgusted even in myself that I was into it. Not really into it but it interested me. So many months reading serial killer bios etc. nowadays I can't even watch slasher films much. I stopped listening to certain music. I feel myself becoming more compassionate as I age. Plus interests and stuff change. I'm extremely influence by interest.
Seems To Me, At The Age Of 30, This Realisation Has Occured To You, 10 Years Overdue..... Cheers Glen.
When you balls deep 100 miles of shore at 3am, the wind blowing well over 100mph. You've lost 2 windows and a door, you have water coming in faster than you can get it out. You're not sure if you're going to make it out alive it's easy to be a pussy sitting at home watching a youtube video. Thinking this is cool look how many people died. Fuck you! Some of those people were my friends that weren't as lucky as me. FUCK YOU
