    Vegetables were once alive...

And about the living thing, I was a vegan/vegetarian for two years and decided I'd much rather just fish and hunt for it than support factory farms... we used to have a free range/produce farm.

I am not a vegetarian or anything (although I was twice. Once for 5 months and once again for one month), but I completely understand what oyu mean about wasting food. I wirked in McDonalds for a while, and I saw quite a bit of wasted food. I worked at a smaller steak house, and almost the only food I saw"wasted" there was by the customers who couldn't finish it all. If bothers me to throw out food, meat or not, even when it is all moldy. I always think "Couldn't we have finished that?" and feel really bad. Although I feel even WORSE when it is meat, because then I am like "WTF? That animal died for no reason then!" and it upsets me. Thankfully, we don't waste a lot of food unless like our bread starts molding or something.

    how cute of you

I think that being vegetarian is completely pointless, it's not like you are actually going to have a major effect on anything. You are just causing yourself more trouble in order to feel like you are doing somehting good.

By your logic we should never stand for anything or do anything good because we cant change shit

and how do vegetarians cause themselves trouble?

Duck - I save an average of 81 lives a year by being vegetarian ...

Now tell me why it's pointless again ...

Sam - I'm glad to see that omni's will back up vegetarians. :D

yeah right, the meat market is growing every year, just as the population is, all those "lives saved" are in vain
and I want to know where you got your numbers

and to Sam, I do not think standing up for anything is pointless, there is shit we can change, just not this, plus meat is good :D

81 lives saved by 1,000 individuals is 81,000 lives.

    It adds up.
