it appears they are very very dumb, This office complex is owned by a complete moron.

 

I could see how degradation of seals and valves due to temperature of water would escape someone's mind. like maybe mine. But a group of people who specialize in these kinds of things should be held to a higher standard. Especially if you pointed out the potential hazard beforehand.

But then again, how hot was this water to ruin seals in a matter of days? how many days? were the seals already old? what about the ice machine? did it just have to overwork the compressor in the machine to freeze the hot water? and how would the waterfountains break?

 

I wonder if it was an insurance scam. we often thought about that.
This is also a weird building in the complex, its at the very bottom. Where the other 9 are up hill and more look like a fortress. Lots of run off down there too, It just make you wonder if they really were just trying to disable the building for profits on lease further up..
the buildings are designed to be gutted time after time.
I hear the practice is still used in other buildings, i know a person that still works there, and hes always getting paged for something. you do get a nice Durango for that job though..

 

Im still wondering where they got the pressure for the hot water system...when my water main breaks I lose all water...the only feed into the place is cold....Im not familiar with large systems though and am assuming that this complex had a main boiler system that fed multiple buildings probably for heating purposes and the water feed is a totally separate system

i think you miss understand.. These pipes are inside the buliding.. sometimes in a setting like an institution aka Jail this operation will be used to provide water cause one the service lines is interrupted within the facility. ..of course the inmates will not complain that the stainless steel toilets seat is warm.. jails also are not filled with computers and office equipments, administrative operations are not effected cause the building is separate.
