    Ah yes--HEN fruit.
I love those little wild blueberries.
So much more flavorful than those sometimes enormous cultivated berries.
    Same with strawberries.
    Also pineapple and watermelon.
A watermelon, I've learned, is actually a huge BERRY!
A lot more people know this one; a tomato is a fruit.

    Blueberries (lowbush)
    Pears (Bartlett)
    Apples (Golden Delicious)
McIntosh and Cortland are best for making Apple Pies
    Bananas (Cavendish)
Grapes (Concord) I might be a bit prejudice because they are the local variety
    Oranges

    Interesting, cookie brother.

Well I live in Massachusetts, so i'm not surprised they grow most of those varieties in CT except of course for oranges and bananas.

What did surprise me about Connecticut is that they also grow tobacco

alone is never quite a meal. fresh is what you pick yourself, that grows wild along the trail.
no such thing as fresh unless you grow or gather it from nature yourself.

many times all you can get is what there is in the store.
that's ok, but always the actually fresh as mentioned, tastes almost like a completely different species.
