The Industrial Revolution could've possibly happened earlier, since there would be no England to keep secrets from America.

personally, I think it would have happened more rapidly, and people would have explored philosophy and science to a greater depth.

I think the romans would have been responsible for the industrial revolution.

Damn it, Julius Caesar, why did you burn Alexandria and it's Library? :$

but class wouldnt be a word under roman rule would it?

    I have just thought about that! You're a mind-reader!

When Roman empire disappeared, it was like the end of something, so people had to go from the begining in a way.... So if it had lasted, we'd probably lived in a better world.

yeah. The Roman Empire was perfectly sustainable... it could have lasted, if it weren't for a few blunders.

Rome was promised to be an "Imperium Sine Fine", but it failed. Will America fulfil the promise?

    ROMA SUMMUS AMOR.

apparently romans had a sense of humour as they made use of palindromes in their slogans.

Alternate history is awesome. I actually post at the Alternatehistory.com forum under the name Elidor. Othertimelines.com is an awesome site too.
