and how do you think you're doing so far?

i think in some areas, a great job, but in others, absolutely terrible.....

when you were my age, what did you envision the world of today (with your generation in charge) would be like?? and how far off the mark is today?

I think politically its going down, while spiritually, intellectually, and artistically improving.
Not everyone from my generation was a hippie.

That's quite a thought. I can't imagine any of the kids I see around today ever becoming politicians or even the president. One day, some of them will be running the country as well, which is rather amazing.

Even if there would be less then other generations (which I'm not sure of), there always will be some people of our generation looking for a political carreer for the same reasons politicians from other generation did. Out of ideals or for power etc.
I can't be worried about that. I even see some potential politicians at my university.

I think I'd rather do productive things than drink heavily.

Everyone should get off their ass and try to change things instead of bitching about them.

You know my mom always told me "never get a tattoo because one day you are going to want to work for a well respected business" and my response is "when that day comes, the people I will work for will be my age and will have tattoos as well"... just goes to show that shit does change based on the inventions and interests of the generation.
