Does anyone Else have this hangup? I don't know what my problem is. I have made DMT and was afraid to try it as well. I was giving grams away to friends and they would tell me that it was the cleanest they have ever had. So, finally, one night when i was alone, i tried it. It was my first time too. I wasn't prepared for the intensity and the speed in which it took effect. Any attempt ever made at trying to describe the intensity of DMT is a huge understatement. Even the very eloquent Mr. McKenna couldn't properly do it justice.
Because of my fear to try my own products, I thought that I had poisoned myself and was going to die. Now that's what i call a bad trip!
Even when I grow vegetables, i am afraid to eat them. What the hell is wrong with me?
Now I have these beautiful white crystals, that smell like a heavenly camphor sitting here; and I'm afraid to try them.
Does anyone Else have this problem? Any other chemists out there afraid to try their own stuff?
I take the utmost care in purifying my final product. Much more than described in the original patents (where applicable). I should have no problem.

Yeah I agree with RetiredHippie... But on the subject of your own vegetables, don't be silly. You have a lack of trust in yourself. You think you might get something wrong but feel that others won't.

Weren't you scared of poisoning your friends?

Good lord, you should be very afraid. "Chlorobutanol is highly toxic to the liver, is a skin irritant and a severe eye irritant." ~Wikipedia...

I certainly hope you won;t be promoting the use of this poison.

    Camphor.
I'm not necessarily an amateur chemist. The product is very clean. All precursors used to make this, I also made. Including the acetone and NaOH. My purity standards at far above any lab out there to the point of being anal.

No, I was not afraid of poisoning my friends. I have thoroughly tested what I have made. Especially the DMT which wasn't extracted from plant material but synthesized from scratch.
Why would something someone Else made be better than what i have made? Why would it be safer?
Oh well, chlorobutanol probably isn't that great anyway. I chose to make it because... Well I'm not really sure why.

I did taste 0.5 mg last night and it made my tongue numb as expected. It also sublimes at a low temp which is an interesting quality.

I'm not selling it. I never sell anything I make. I will only give it away for free.
    I have plenty of money.
