she wasn't trying to hurt him, she was trying to embarrass him, she might not have realized it, she may have just known when women are angry, they throw drinks, and that's something that is "socially acceptable" in certain circumstances (and to be fair, in some, it probably is, like "I was fucking your sister, and I knocked her up")

But it was worse that he sis what he did, and the thing that REALLY sucks is, in america, he probably didn't feel like he could throw a beer in her face, or just walk away, or just tell her what a **** she was, because he may have "lost face"
