Abuse 'patterns' are not enough to diagnose someone from a fifty-word blurb on the internet. What do you know about these 'patterns', except what happened to you?

i to have frustration anger problems. lol its hard just do as i do buy a car or some other very cheap breakable thing. when u feel the anger rising grap a sledge hammer and destroy the object. its an amazing help. if you do it to some thing valubale.

pone time i destroyed my stereo and its been three years since my last outburst i was 16. lol

to the OP:

it is important that you recognize your anger issues and address them immediately, whether it be through counseling or self behavior modification...you need to learn what your triggers are and implement a plan to redirect the anger before it becomes habitual to deal with it through violence.

I think you would benefit from leaving her(and any like relationships alone for awhile) while you spend some time reflecting/meditating/digging/ and healing...

It's never ok to hit someone, and judging by the fact that you made this thread shows that you know that and don't want to be that person.....

its great that you've taken responsibility for your actions, now it's time to take responsibility for who you are and who you want to be- it'll take blood sweat and tears but if it's something you really want to fix, you'll find a way to do it.

As has been stated many times, many ways....violence is never the answer, it is never acceptable, and it should definitely NOT be tolerated, HOWEVER, this young man came to this forum with a heavy heart looking for some sort of help and or advice and everyone jumped him like a child molester lurking on a play ground....

is that really who we are and how we want to be represented?!

That's the way these people are. You should see how they respond to people who admit to being attracted to children. The suggestions of castration are frequent. This is for people who know it's wrong, and have never and will never act on their feelings. I find it disgusting.

Yes, we all make mistakes. But do we make mistakes that ruin the lives of others? Drive drunk, date rape, punch girls(or even boys), etc? We could say "Oh, it's ok, he was beaten as a child so it's excusable." But I don't know. I went through fucked up shit as a kid but I know it's not ok to hurt others like that. And to the person diagnosing this as a mental disease: Are you a doctor? No... Have you've been a victim of abuse? No... You took some high school classes and now it seems as if you are a person of self importance.
And I notice the harshest comments are coming from people who were victims of abuse. I think they are allowed to have these opinions becuase, you know, they been there. Don't expect these people to shit out rainbows and kittens for this guy.
The only advice I can give to the OP if don't give up on the positive change. If you continue being the monster you claim you don't want to be then your giving up on yourself.

 

ok. for any guy who ever hit a girl, should get some immediate help, not immediate moron responses.

AND

for ANY girl who stays in a 2 year abusive relationship either has to be the dumbest broad or just wants attention because if I even got hit ONCE- that would be the end and his ass would be in jail

I'd suggest to the guy that help is the only way or that girl is going to come to her fucking senses the next time and call the cops on you, cause obviously she didnt get the first blow the first time

 

i'm the same as you in the sense that i would never let a guy lay a hand on me...but its not that easy to get out. my step dad abused my mom for 7 years before she had the courage to leave him.

 

I'ts been awhile. Well I got some therapy and I think I can control it now, she felt safe enough to come back I guess. I was going to give her a tazer but she told me not to because she "wouldn't be able to hurt (me)"... I'm getting treatment for the mental disorders I was diagnosed with. I thought I'd just let everyone know what happened.
