When I wrote this it was one of my happiest days ever :) I mean, I felt totally ecstatic and I wasn't even high. I was just in ecstasy and I had so much love inside of me I just wanted to give it to everyone that came my way.
    I still feel that way.
    I love you all.

Beautiful and inspirational words. The great hippie experience in a nutshell. Then we all have to work it out with the present reality. No harm in having ideas though. I like it. People like you will change the world.

This thread made me think of Wish it was:

If I had words like a hammer
    If I had powers unreal
Then I would tear down Megiddo
And I would bring you songs of love

    And every child of tomorrow
Safely in his bed could lie
And hate would die of starvation
    I wish it was
Wish it was today it was

I’d find an old man lonely
In the autumn of his years
I’d find a young girl hoping
    To lose herself in love

And to both I’d give a rainbow
For neither side can make it on their own
    Young and old come together
    I wish it was
Wish it was today it was

    I’ll find some magic morning
I’ll take a boat out on the sea
Maybe run before the west wind
To bring you songs of love

    And every fear for tomorrow
In my head could surely lie
And you and I - we’d be together

    I wish it was
Wish it was today it was
    Wish it was today ....

    Magna Carta :)

Capitalism probably bought you your house and the very computer you're using...So you can't really complain, especially since your father's DA. Be grateful you have Capitalism, because I'm sure the poor people of the world would love to have what you have.

Capitalism is a system of hegemony used to oppress the common man, i'm so sick of seeing blind endorsement of such a flawed system, it's shameful. However it should be mentioned that most people have been programmed to believe capitalism (among other things) is a superior system when in fact it's not.

We may have to thank capitalism for all the stuff we use at the moment, but that doesn't mean it can't be supplied and earned in another, fairer way. The fact we have the luck not to be poor because of your parents and/or the country we live in doesn't mean we can't wish for something better so that even the poor can enjoy the use of a computer and a good house.

Tell me a better system than Capitalism, and I'll consider it.

Then why don't you sell your possessions, including your computer, and donate them to charity?

A system rooted in anarchism would be most beneficial to the people. I don't mean the typical anarchy most people think of when they hear that word, i'm not advocating out and out insanity, however I do advocate abolition of the state, and very small direct democracy controlled by the people with no leaders, just facilitators. All forms of credit and currency should be completely abolished and trade moved into a system of unselfish gifting (like burning man). I have no delusions of grandeur, implementation of this system would cause severe social unrest, a decline in standard of living, poverty, and blood shed in the beginning, but after a couple generations for people to become acclimated to the new reality, it would be a superior quality of life to the existing system. It would just take time for people to cleanse themselves from the desires of consumerism, dishonesty, religious fanaticism, greed, and power. I believe that the majority of human beings are good and pure at heart, just easily manipulated.

So you're saying that a 'couple generations' of bloodshed is worth it? Also, you're basically turning back time to what the system was before it evolved into Capitalism. Even if your system was achieved it would never work for very long because someone else will always want more than the next person. In my opinion, Capitalism is the final step of all political systems, because, unfortunately, greed conquers all.

You can't expect more than, say, 100 people (for example) to live in harmony...It doesn't happen.

Not with abandon the current way of living and go 1,2,3 over to anarchy, no. But if the 'system' would slowly and gradually carry out a different style of living which promotes sharing and equally dividing I think we could get used to it. Of course some countries have a longer way to socialism then others, like a welfare state like the Netherlands are further in this as the U.S. for example. And Europe and the U.S. etc. would all have different issues to handle like asian and african countries. It wouldn't going to be without big problems probably, but capitalism is so far from perfect in my opinion that it's worth the try.

Of course, we owe it to our descendants, the future.

Not true, before capitalism we had systems of monarchy, before that systems of dictatorship/empires, and before that, tribalism. While it's true I am proposing what is essentialy a form of tribalism, and in essence it would be a regression from a political/economic perspective, you have to take into account that as a civilization we are more educated and prepared to deal with the intricacies of pulling off such a system, also I am proposing a system of gifting which has never been accomplished before.

I agree in part, thats why it would take generations to implement such a system, people would need to be socially reconditioned, purified if you will, and as much as it pains me to say it, alot of those that cannot let go, may die. I do not believe that greed, power, and selifshness are inherent to the social condition, these are learned sociological/cultural factors that can be eliminated with time.

Don't take this the wrong way because i'm not trying to attack you, but that's what you've been conditioned to believe since birth, that's the reality you were born into, you just have to have the enlightenment to look past the bullshit, life doesn't have to be so complicated, we make it that way.

I agree to an extent, thats why i'm suggesting small tribal groups/communities, although it remains to be seen what the actual limits would be. Of course i'm not suggesting a society without order, some type of order would be necessary to maintain civility, I think that something modeled along the lines of shanti-sena (rainbow family) where everyone polices themselves as well as everyone else, would be adequate. Again, this isn't an ideologue that would work overnight, but it is a totally workable utopian philosophy, the biggest hurdle to overcome would be the beginning, and the realization by people that they are doing this for the future of mankind, anything worthy of our species won't be born out of fast bloody revolution overnight, it will only be attained by decades of hard work, education, and thinking outside the confines of what we now accept as reality.

I think it's pretty unpredictable what the outcome of a 'couple generations' of anarchy (in what form it may be) and bloodshed will be.

Exactly, and what you are stating is a form of tribalism that will only evolve back through the ages in what we have now.

That is probably the most totalitarianist thing I've heard in awhile. So basically, you want everyone to think the same and prevent them of having indvidual thoughts? That's what Stalin, Hitler, Mao Zedong, Pol Pot, Il-sung ALL had in common.

You don't even know how I was brought up, and to make such an assumption is totally ridiculous. I could've been brought up amongst a family of communists from old Soviet Russia, for all you know. I think differently to you, so you think I have something wrong with how I was brought up?..Christ, talk about ignorant.

You honestly think that would work for long? It sounds slightly like Hitler's theory of The Third Reich lasting 1000 years, to me.

(you mean devolve, right?) I disagree, I don't think it has to be thought of in terms of evolving/devolving, but something completely different, out of the box, something never envisioned or attempted before.

That's not what i'm suggesting at all, It's not in my ideologue to force people to change, or even to control them, your still thinking within the confines of what you believe you know and do not know as reality, your thinking within terms of all or nothing. The key to any success is moderation and cooperation. You obviously cannot force anyone to accept something they vehemently oppose, and i'm not suggesting any model of force for change, what I am suggesting is something that hasn't happened in thousands of years, a complete and total revisionment of what the human condition is all about, a large scale awakening to our full potential. I don't have any hard and fast rules, I am completely and totally open to change, ideas, and input from EVERYONE......I have no plans to be a dictator, to enslave, or otherwise harm another human being. I've already stated that anything lasting cannot be accomplished through violent bloody revolution, and i'm not suggestign a campaign of purification through blood and strict enforcement of my ideologue. Don't you see? That is what everyone in history, every political system, every theology has tried to accomplish, and IT DOES NOT WORK!!! The only possible way to build a utopia is to s...l...o...w...l...y... expose reality for what it really is, to educate people, put everything out front, no secrets, no force, no lies......and eventually, the human condition will change on its own.

Your pigeon holing me into what you already percieve as a specific category I must fit into, that's your first mistake. Think OUTSIDE of what you believe you already know. Were you born on this planet?? Do you exist within the confines of present "reality"?? Trust me, I know how you were brought up, as well as everyone else on this planet. You were born into the same world as me, you were conditioned to believe certain things same as me, you have been taught to attribute certain qualities, and ideologues as good and evil, NO MATTER WHAT THEY MAY BE!! I'm not suggesting that you were born into a system of capitalism, or communism, or socialism, dictatorship.........that's all old news, who the fuck cares?? None of it works, none of it matters, reality is within the natural world, people are connected to each other and the planet, not to ideologues and dogma.

The only reason your making comparisons to Hitler is because you have been conditioned to believe a certain way, case in point. Now look beyond that, this isn't my idea, I don't want to lead, I want everyone to lead. Their is no comparison between freedom and tyranny, their is nothing synonymous between a system founded on conquer, divide, hatred, and scapegoating, and a system founded on freedom, unity, love, and tolerance. Yes I do think it could work, but like anything else it would take time and hard work, as well as some ingenious methods to pull it off while minimizing hardships.

Seriously...You're making no sense at all.

How do intend to start this new system? How can you do it slowly? There's going to be plenty of people in the world who totally disagree with you, like me for example, so what're you going to do about the people who don't want change?

I'm not a cure-all bro, I don't have all the answers, i'm just presenting a workable model for utopia, the ultimate solution to capitalism, i'm not going to sit here and tell you I have an entire coup and plan outlined because I don't. As far as changing peoples minds, and getting them to understand and hopefully cooperate, I think that a high percentage of people would be open to something different if they were roused out of their apathy and educated in reality, and the TRUTH of everything, was exposed, if everything were put out front, people would change of their own volition, maybe not directly into the direction of utopia, but it would open the most important dialogue in human history, we would have no choice but to change, and move forward.
